Outdoor Paintball
Jul 2021 • Friends
Our experience with the outdoor paintball was not good. First of all we were at the paintball location but there was nobody there. We called the office and needed to go back from were we came to pay (at the office). They accept only cash. They were not friendly at all at the office, even rude. at the paintball terrain there was no toilet. The paintball clothes protection was just made out of paper. The paint came through on your clothes and was not protective. The terrain was dangerous because of the roots from the trees and it was muddy and wet. There was no information about this on the phone in advance. The guy who helped us at the paintball terrain was really friendly and helpful! He was from Ninove. And then, one of the group fell on the knee on a stone wich was bleeding and very thick. There was no first aid kit! Given the bad terrain and the paintball is this very irresponsible!! Also the guns shooted very hard compared to other paintball locations.

Kayaking
Sep 2020 • Friends
Due to all the disappointing reviews I decided to call prior our planned kayaking trip. They said the water on the river was to low so we had to divert to the location at the lake, also there was no possibility to pay with card.
At the location at the lake we got our kayak which was wet from the inside. Of course there is a possibility you get wet but it would be nice to start with a dry one. No attempt was made by the care taker to dry it. After some brief instructions he left us to attend other customers.
Kayaking on the lake was nice! Not to compare with on the rivers but nothing to do about that. It’s just all very basic, you go there, rent a kayak and should not expect much more then that.
Biggest advise is to give them a call before you go there.

High rope and dropping
Jul 2020
Very, very good experience with the accrobranche and dropping with a large group (+10 people). Well organized, competent, patient and friendly management. The high rope was great, the environment is amazing for the dropping.

Terrible customer service
Aug 2019 • Couples
Most worthless service we've experienced in ages. The day before we had booked by phone. On the day itself we queued up in the morning to pay. There we were also told that at 2 o'clock we had to be present at the kayaks.

So at 2 o'clock we arrived and then for more than an hour we had to stand in line again with people without a booking, to hear at the second cash register that we had to wait an additional hour because there are not enough kayaks.

A company with no sense for responsibilty
Jun 2019 • Business
We, as a german group, booked a Kayak Tour from Stavelot. So I can only judge the Kayaking experience offered by Coo Adventure.
On arrival personel at the reception was sparse, annoyed, nothing was organized on our arrival, people even seemed to be suprised. With little information where to go, we were send down a slippery wodden stairway to the river to search for our equipment. We were told wetsuits and changing rooms would be found at the river (12°C), a guide handing out the Kayaks did not know about any wetsuits for rent or changing rooms and was ok sending us down the river in our street clothing with just a life west.
The guide refused talking in english or german and gave the whole group a little safety induction knowing no one understood him.
Not covering reaction in rapid currents, measures when stuck on a rock or flipping a boat (all that happened due to low water in the first 500 m). No helmets were handed out, rocks under the surface all along. We felt lucky that no one got hurt. Usually I do not care so much about bad recommendations on trip advisor, but all the 1 point recommendations were unfortunately very accurate for this company. Its a beautiful area with a lot potential for outdoor activities, but never again with Coo Adventures... So much irresponsibilty makes me really angry, I hope no one ever gets hurt.

Absolutety HORRENDOUS kayaking experience!
May 2019 • Couples
Everything from the staff to the equipment to the kayak track, it’s the worst you can find in the Belgian Ardennes!
Stay away and please find yourself a better adventure provider.
It starts with the parking: € 10 a pure rip-off, in itself a reason to stay away.
The guy at the desk is as rude and as unhelpful as you can imagine. He refuses to talk English and Dutch too.
Don’t even think you can use the bathroom anywhere at the reception. The guy doesn’t care if you are in need of one.
Even if the water is too low to have a proper kayaking-trip, he will sell you tickets and leave you alone with the worst stone-river riding experience, THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH KAYAKING. On top of that the kayaks are of such a poor quality that you can hardly control them, really horrific. No boxes not water-tight bags are supplied. You’ll ruin you electronics and don’t expect any service like a personal safety-locker. They will sell you a 8 km trip, while in reality it is barely 6 km.
Plenty of other places to go in for a nice kayak trip.
Please spread the word: This is a garantueed rip-off, merely leaving you frustrated.

trip for the whole family/ all ages
Jul 2018
It's hard to find the right day to go kayaking.
If it's cold and you or not experienced, you get wet and cold.
If it's nice and warm weather, often the water level is too low in summer and even though they open the shop, it is hard for people over 60kg to row all the time, you mostly get stuck in the pebbles on the bottom of the stream. With children you laugh a lot, but with adults, who would like to sport and enjoy the physical part of kayaking, it can be frustrating. We went on a very warm summers day, late in the afternoon. Ticketing was swift, but then we had to wait until kayaks (5) were available. The staff were students only, and they were more interested in have having a good time and a laugh themselves instead of watching who was first in line. Several people were helped before us, even though we told them it was our turn.
The trip was beautiful, not too long, but since we took our time and made some stops, it took us a while. Water barely came to my knees, when I stept out of the boat.
At first the children were scared, until the saw me standing in the middle of the water, then the youngest made a sport of getting out his boat every 10 meters. He enjoyed that more than the rowing itself.

At the end of the trip, us bus brings you back to the start.

Quad adventure 2h
Apr 2018 • Couples
We went on the 2hour quad ride accompanied by a great monitor who gave usefull advise and professional assistance. The tracks are great and exiting and the quads are in good working condition. We enjoyed every minute of the trip.

'Wildpark' tour, maybe fun for kids
Sep 2017 • Family
First @ the reservation office, there was totally no service. Staff has no sense of helping us or giving us a nice Welcome or smile. Just pay the (too much) money and shut up.
Once in the train, there is a tour to see 'wild' animals, but they only respond to the driver 'cause he has the food they want. Several animals looked injured but the driver just keeped driving. Also some of them were caged what wasn't a nice experience. Overall it has it's glory days a long time ago. We only felt sorry for the animals at the end.
