The Palacio de Los Principes-Obispos is the former seat of the Prince-Bishops of Liege. It’s an imposing building dominating the entire northern side of Place St Lambert. The facade is similar to renaissance style. It’s fine to wander around the courtyard and the cloisters, which are still amazing to look at, but it’s not possible to enter the building, but the city had the foresight to provide plaques with information about the building.
I think there are 60 columns supporting the arcade in the courtyard area and each is supposed to be unique. I had a good look at quite a lot of them and could not see any duplication.
A fantastic building, pity it’s not really open to the public.

An incredible structure memorializing a fascinating period of history in a substantial portion of what is now southern Belgium - a period where Bishop Princes ruled the province, having been gifted the land by the Roman Church.

The rule of the Prince-Bishops of Liège came to an end in 1795. Their huge palace (complex) still dominates Saint Lambert square. Not open to the public, but used by provincial civil authorities. The Baroque architecture is impressive, but for me a bit overdone as if the structures serve to impress upon the common man.

If they do a thorough renovation, this might become impressive, but now it's just walls black from the smog and dirth.

Maybe this huge grey building is interesting if you can see the inside of it.
But outside it’s just - grey. And dull. Not worth the detour, if you have other plans in Liège. Eat some Belgian frites instead.

Imposing building well integrated in the well maintained and clean main square. Very nice watching the start of the Lieges-Bastogne-Liege right there.

This is an impressive building and there are signs around the site explaining its history. The signs are in many languages.

These palace are situated on the square of St. Lambert, just near to the Liege Palais train station. Nice building, but nothing extraordinary though
