Just walk past it and see the old building and the flags
Lovely cafe s and shopping followed walking further
It’s nothing special but I love old buildings and I am glad it’s standing in its place .

A beautiful Stadhuis with tasteful Christmas decorations & tree. It is central with good places to eat close by & the pretty streets are good for walking along.

We went on a walking and tasting tour of Hasselt and one of our stops was across from here, our guide explained that this is the old town hall, mostly used these days for weddings etc.

I joined the Sunday free guided tour. I expected to see an old town hall, but I was a bit disappointed at that. Although the town hall has a long history, many rooms look quite modern. One tower seems quite old, and in the attic one gets to see the top of two houses that were built against the town hall. For the rest there are many large rooms with nice decorations, such as Tromp l'oeil. Nice paintings here and there. The city charter can be seen.

In the middle of the plain. Beautiful with the flags. Several restaurants opposite the plain that look out on the old building.

An old building in the middle of Hasselt. It looks well build and has nice architecture. You may just sit down in one of the coffee surrounding it and enjoy the view. nothing else special about it.
