Want to start by saying there are a few reviews here that I personally thought were unfair. One. Don’t bring a baby to a bar and expect them to accomodate. And Two. Since it is cash only, when one person tries to leave, it isn’t a good idea if the rest of the party tries to walk out of the establishment. It would look like you are trying to walk out with out paying, even if one of you is going to get cash out.

We came here after being a little bit hesitant of the reviews. We walked in anyway after a dinner in the vicinity and found this super cosy cocktail bar. Perfect friendly service, excellent atmosphere and great drinks.

Would highly recommend if you like a smaller style cocktail bar and are not a large group of people.

We visited this place looking for "great cocktails" as it was tagged by many visitors. Well, the interior is nice indeed, the waitress was nice and smiling too. The cocktail part was a complete disappointment. The bar has a limited choice of cocktails and neither waitress nore the barman knew anything about New York Sour or Continental Sour. They kindly asked me about the ingredients but in the end I got a washy sour drink with chunks of ice crush floating....in the martini glass ....0_o...
The Bloody Mary was nothing more but a warm tomato juice with slight trace of vodka. No bitters, no nothing... Each cocktail costs 10 Euro.
This may be a good beer or wine bar, but definitely NOT a cocktail bar if you need good old drinks beyond the 'pop menu' like mojito, margarita etc.

Named after one of the greatest romantic poets, Lord Byron does not disappoint.

It's small, intimate, run by a charming man called Bayram. The interior is understated, classic, with warm wooden undertones and shades of subtle green. They have an extensive whiskey selection, some quite unique. Their other cocktails are also made to perfection and it's a lovely hang out spot if you're going with a date or a small group of friends or even alone if you fancy having a drink or 2 on the bar.

I fell in love with Lord Byron and went several times when I was in Brussels this summer.

An upscale bar that only takes cash (I wonder why). I informed them that I would have to go to a cash machine. As I was getting money, they physically blocked one of my colleagues from leaving. Upon my return, and not knowing what had happened, I tipped them 17 euros. Not even a thank you. Avoid. Management is not pleasant.

Sat at a bar and ordered a daiquiri. Barmen started making the drink with his back turned on me, which is something you just don't do in a cocktail bar. His shaking technique was like someone was forcing him to mastrubate, and he didn't want to do it - that's how it looked like. Daiquiri looked bad, had no garnish, no smell, and it tasted even worse. Probably the worst drink I had in a cocktail bar, ever.

Asked for a check, left 95% of the drink untouched, paid 10 euros for this experience, and left.

This place is perfect to drink the best Belgium's beers, without the stress of the city centre. Five minutes away from the main square, you just need to grab a seat by the window and work your way through the compact, but perfect, menu. Perfect for an aperitif or digestif, or both!

Perfect place in Brussels' city centre for an intimate evening with someone you love. The wine isn't great, but the cocktails are good and the seating and ambiance are perfect.

If you're looking for a place to sample some of Belgium's most famous beers, without the bustle of the city centre, this place is perfect. Five minutes walk from the main square, grab a seat by the window and work your way through the compact, but perfect, menu. If you're feeling peckish, some of the best restaurants in the city are on this street as well. Perfect for an aperitif or digestif, or both!

This is a great alternative to "Archiduc" if you are seeking for a more intimate place to have a chat with your firend(s). Cocktails are just great in all ways. Perfect to end a city center evening!
