About The Brussels Journey - Beer and Chocolate Tours
Taste amazing handmade chocolates, sample great local beers – both craft and traditional – and meet likeminded travelers. The first part of the tour includes visits to various chocolate shops where you’ll get to try some amazing flavours: crunchy hazelnut, dark ganache, salted butter caramel, ginger, tea, coffee, saffron, chilli... The second part of the tour is a Belgian beer-tasting session that will take you to a beer boutique and bars around Grand Place. It’s a great way to discover small taverns and mix with locals. You’ll sample beers that are all completely different and all specific to Belgium. During the tour you’ll also learn about the city’s history, explore hidden corners and wander off the beaten path.

We did this tour the minute we got of the plane and it was hands down the best tour I’ve been on! Mary&Daniel are amazing, knowledgeable, passionate, funny, so friendly and easy going! The chocolates were great, I don’t drink beer, so I was offered something else at every pub and it honestly made my day! I couldn’t recommend the tour more! Thank you, Mary & Daniel, keep up the good work!

If you are in Brussels, you MUST take this tour. It is the best thing we have experienced in the city. Mary and Daniel were incredible in making this a very peronalised experience and they accommodated to our needs (as our travel plans were a bit unpredictable due to the pandemic). It is nothing like the boring commercialised tours that you usually experience in big cities. The tastings were incredible and it was amazing to hear all the background about the beer and chocolate that we tasted. It’s also a great way to support local businesses which is so needed right now. And since it is a tour, you will of course hear many interesting facts about Brussels. :) It’s hard to believe that there is such a thing as 5,0 on TripAdvisor but after experiencing it, we see that it makes total sense. We hope we’ll be back to Brussels sometime and can do this again.

This might be the best tour we have ever attended. The reason why is simple. The tour with the fantastic pair of Daniel and Mary as guides, shows you the city in a “non-turisty” way. Get to experience the local bars/beers, the best handpicked chocolates in town, while having the perfect combination of intellectuel stimulans. Do yourself a favor and experience this tour, it is something that will truly never be forgotten.

This tour was the highlight of our stay in Brussels. Our guide Julie was so much fun and shared so many interesting stories and facts. She was very knowledgable and helpful. We tasted delicious chocolate and my husband and cousin loved the beer. I don't drink beer but Julie organised wine for me and I tried a fruity beer that I really liked. We loved walking through the city together and learnt so much. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Brussels, even if only for a short trip!

Just to be clear, the title is in no way an accurate representation of this tour but is a joke that was made during the tour. Every minute of this tour was a fun timeThis trip was planned last minute. I was only one of two people on this tour. Julie, our 25 year old guide, made this trip one of the most memorable times in Europe I’ve hade thus far. The chocolates were perfect and I loved being given the option of which I can try at a couple spots. The beers obviously did not disappoint. You’ll try a wide variety while catering to your preferences when possible. The history was great and it was an awesome tour. Mary even stopped by at the end to ensure we had a stellar time. Highly recommend if you have a few hours before going out to the bars one night. Thanks again...mom. :)
