About
Our daily Waffle Workshop is held in English and starts with a short introduction to the wonderful world of waffles. Then comes the time to get your hands dirty, split into teams and work on the batter. Assistance, kitchenware and demonstrations will be provided along the way, so that each participant will bake, decorate and eat as many yummy waffles as they can!

This activity lived up to me expectations. The host (can’t remember her name) was lovely and made everyone feel welcome and involved. We learned about the different types of waffle and made Belgian waffles from a simple recipie. All toppings etc provided and we even had enough left over to take back for the next day. Really enjoyable couple of hours. Thanks

I'd been in Brussels for about a week endlessly searching for a vegan waffle (it's Brussels I must have a waffle!) and I could not find a single shop that did a good authentic vegan waffle, until I discover that the waffle workshop provides ingredient and instructions to accommodate any dietary need! I just had to do this tour! It was fantastic! The waffles were delicious, some people even said they preferred the vegan ones over the regular!
This is an absolute must do while in Brussels! Make sure you book ahead because space fills up fast!!

I paid for the Waffle workshop and received the confirmation email but when I turn up to the meeting point with the voucher. The staff told me the workshop is not open to public today. I have only two days in Brussels and I need to fly back home tomorrow. This is ridiculous and I come all the way to the workshop and the staff offer me to come back tomorrow but I need to return home tomorrow. The system should not confirm my booking if the workshop is not operate. I am really depressed and wasted my time in Brussels as I was looking forward for this. I would recommend anyone who wants to join this workshop in the future need to call the workshop in advance. The booking system only know how to accept payment and not knowing whether the workshop is operate or not even it says available. I need to have a refund for this!!!

To be completely honest, I did enjoy the Waffle Workshop - but it took a bit of effort to have to work as part of such a large group.
Attending the workshop with my boyfriend, thinking we would be able to make and eat and the waffles in the world together - no. Having to work as part of a group and making sure all the ingredients have been added and whos mixing, whos pouring, whos eating with what toppings - bit stressy.
There wasn't enough toppings to go around the whole group which was pretty annoying too.
Wasnt too bothered about learning about the history of waffles - we was just eager to eat them!
But Titch is really lovely and you get a free drink to wash down the waffles. I would recommend purely because you're in Brussels.

I highly recommend the waffle workshop. The atmosphere was great and family friendly. Not only did we enjoy making our waffles, we also enjoyed our the lesson and background on the different types of waffles.

Such a simple thing to do but so so enjoyable! The whole experience was the highlight of our trip to Belgium. We were the first group with the new host and she was knowledgeable but fun. The short walk to the workshop was full of facts and information but this just enhanced our visit as we would have walked past the shops and would not have known the secrets hidden in plain sight. It is so nice to have a local show you around. We had to take the spare waffles home as we made so many and were absolutely stuffed. The relaxed atmosphere allowed us to enjoy the workshop as it definitely felt like we were on holiday. Thank you so much for making our trip memorable.

In the heart of Brussels we met our guide as instructed along with about 10 other guest and were treated to a short but fun, informative walking tour. The waffle making was in a second story "flat" - there were stations set up to make waffles. The waffle making itself wasn't that impressive but our "guide" was most pleasant and he included stories and tidbits of information as we made waffles. You can then eat as many waffles and toppings as you like.

This was a surprise gift for my birthday and I was really looking forward to it. However, from the outset I got an inking it wasn't going to live up to my expectations. From the moment the guide arrived, with his grubby chef's top and dirty finger nails, I should've suspected something was up. The brief overview of waffles was interesting, but this was followed by the guide walking the group up one street, stop outside two shops and basically say don't buy waffles from them before walking us back down the same street was ridiculous. With not a waffle to taste in site, this was not a tour. We were then taken to the 'Waffle Workshop'. As we approached one place the 'The Waffle Factory', I thought we were about to go inside when we marched past it, down a side street and into a nondescript door surrounded by bin bags. The guide told us the workshop was being renovated so expect a little mess. I wonder how many groups he's spun this yarn too! We were then led up some dark, narrow stairs and into the 'workshop'. We were expecting something like a professional kitchen like on Masterchef of Bake Off but alas it felt more like a grubby student accommodation. There were wires everywhere, the floor was disgusting and there were flies buzzing around the place. My stomach turned when we entered and I remember mouthing to my partner "Run"! This place is a health and safety ticking time bomb. The smoke detectors had been removed from their casing, there were trip hazards around the hot, grease covered Tefal waffle irons and not a fire extinguisher or blanket in site. The walls, especially the glass partition were smeared with grease. Coupled with the fact they used the cheapest ingredients is a joke. This place really needs reporting. I am totally surprised to read all the good reviews and the photos certainly do not represent how it looks now. Maybe 2 years ago perhaps when they first opened. Shocking!

My wife and I participated in the Waffle making workshop. The tour, guide Sophie had a lot of energy. She really made it fun! We enjoyed learning about the various types of waffles and then actually making and of course eating the waffles with various toppings.

Is there only one session per day? On the website I only see 2 PM and I was wondering if that’s the only session available each day?
Also, we are a group of seven...will we be split in separate groups all work together? Does everyone in your group get to make their own batter and waffles?
Lastly, Is there any history about waffles provided? I see after September 2019 they’re canceling the tour portion? We make waffles all the time. So, I’d love my kids to get some history in. Thanks for any info you can provide.

Yes, only one session per day.
7 probably too large for a group. You would probably be split into groups of 4 mixed with other participants. Or maybe, 3 and 4 with just your group depending on how many in the session total.
Yes, the history is great. You will learn a lot throughout the time.
Our family really enjoyed it. Have fun!

We were hoping to book the workshop for 17 September, 2018, but don't see that there is any availability in September. Is it possible that you don't book tours for that month? Rebecca

Hello! Keep checking back on waffleworkshop then a dot then a com (can't post websites) for dates. We were able to book in mid-Jan for a late-March date so the schedule was posted about a couple months out. We emailed ahead of time to confirm when the dates would be posted and they were good at communicating. Enjoy the Waffles...we had so much fun!
