About Brussels Greeters
Brussels Greeters - free guided tours in Brussels Greeters are volunteer guides who take you on a tour while sharing with you their favourite spots, their top tips, their neighbourhood and their anecdotes. These locals propose completely free, extraordinary and original visits for up to 6 people in a relaxed atmosphere. The visits can be organised in 12 languages and are founded on a principle of exchange. It’s almost as if the Greeters were welcoming family or friends to their city. The Greeters are absolutely not professional guides. The Greeters are a team of 100 Brussels inhabitants, from all walks of life. They will take you both into the centre of the city and into neighbourhoods that they love in all 19 of the capital’s communes. Each visit is unique, as every Greeter has their own areas of interest that appeal to them. There’s something for everybody: history, Art Nouveau and Art Deco, Europe, street art, green spaces, LGBT, gastronomy, beer, jazz, BD…

My family and I spent a wonderful afternoon with Marie seeing the sights of Brussels. Marie was able to point things out that we would never have known! She was very informative, spoke excellent english and kept us entertained. My children, boys aged 13 and 16, thought she was excellent. Definitely the highlight of our trip.

I felt very fortunate to have the company of Vincent for several hours on his tour of Brussels. He was entertaining and highly informative throughout. I appreciated his patience with my French as well as his fluent English. In addition to showing me the historical and architectural highlights, Vincent also gave me a great deal of information about the cultural and linguistic diversity of Belgium. I was glad to have this background information when I later traveled to other parts of Belgium. Vincent had a broad range of other information to share, ranging from local government to food and beer.

The best tour we had during our entire Euro trip. Roland was super knowledgeable and extremely friendly. He showed us all kinds of historical parts of Brussels and told us a lot of Brussels history. I would definitely recommend booking a tour using the Greeters as it was one of the tours that stood out the most!

My sister and I took a tour with Anna. She met us at our hotel and took us on a 3 hour walking tour of Brussels. She was very personable and knowledgeable about Brussels and its history. We saw many places off the beaten path that we would have never found on our own including a Thursday night street market where we had pizza and wine. I highly recommend this tour and appreciate the time that Anna spent with us.
