This bookstore is hidden off the main walkway of the Galleries Royales. It’s a French language bookstore with an extensive children section upstairs. The bookstore itself is beautiful and the service is great. I was looking for some children books written by Belgian authors and the salesperson was very patient and offered a lot of suggestions. The books were not only fantastic teaching tools but also great souvenirs!

We can’t believe bookshop Tropismes isn’t on all the lists of the world's most beautiful bookshops. Its location, a bit hidden in the mid-nineteenth century covered passage ‘Galerie des Princes’, is absolutely marvellous. The interior is in keeping with the surroundings. Lots of mirrors, gilded columns and ceilings and sculpted birds. The upstairs floor, where the children’s books are, offers nice perspectives. The books are mainly in French, but that shouldn’t be a reason not to have a look at this exquisite bookshop. Staff are excellent and offer good advice. We never leave empty-handed.

The building itself makes it worth a stop. This is not an English Language Bookstore so the English section is very small, but the booksellers are super helpful and nice. Loved it!

This bookstore is one among many stores at these beautiful galleries... but what good surprise. You see, the galleries are wonderful and so, but they also very tourist oriented and so are the stores within... but this is an old bookstore, that just happen to be placed there... at first sight, from the Windows it looks so modest, and once you enter, the place is gorgeous, with a beautiful hight ceiling made in golden worked wood!!The staff is also very thoughtful and friendly, and they have a huge variety of interesting books (for the kids and the grownups)!! It is worthwhile the take a look, for sure!

This is my favourite bookshop in Brussels. It's in a galerie just off the main Galeries Saint-Hubert and it shines out with light and welcome. The stock is mainly in French, and it is very good for children's books. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Many people visit just to see the gorgeous interior, but it's nice to buy at least a postcard to support the business.

What a gorgeous shop. I loved the collections of books, especially the large assortment of children's books. The random selection of English language books was also fun, partially because I'm from the States and there were some lovely English editions. The staff was friendly and didn't mind you taking pictures.

Wonderful bookshop: a lot of books in many languages (main French)
Located in typical "Galerie" where you can walk and buy some chocolate
