But aren't they ashamed to keep a museum in these conditions? The exhibition on the Surrealists is nothing more than a poorly displayed private collection. Many Magrittes, few other authors. But the service is astonishing. Tickets can be purchased in front of the museum and cannot be paid in cash. At the entrance no one gives correct directions. Furthermore, they have set up some tables perhaps for a buffet. The exhibition of paintings is crowded due to the limited space. Cramped rooms with no light... third world stuff.

'Victor Horta and the Grammar of Art Nouveau'. Bozar
Please have a clear indication - at the same time as the entrance - that you must first obtain an entrance ticket in the ticket shop across the street, even if the visit is free with the museum pass! We only found out about this at the venue itself.
Please provide clearer indication that the cloakroom is mandatory. READABLE NUMBERS on the locks of the lockers. Now it's pure bungling.
The general signage in the halls is quite sparse, minuscule or simply missing.
The Horta exhibition itself was a mockery of all that the artist-architect has produced. One could not be more uncharitable and careless by taping a number of light images onto a light box, which is often too large, with plastic tape visible everywhere.
For that we made a journey of 110 km? Then you would much rather buy the book.
We would also like the opportunity to visit another, even small exhibition in Bozar on the same day with the Museum Pass! Now we have to come back another day. As if everyone lives in Brussels…
Is it too much to ask to be served by normally friendly staff in the BOZAR Café instead of. the scandalous rude treatment of customers! You are assigned a mandatory seat, in this case at the window on a cushion without a backrest. When you sit down on another available chair, the chair is suddenly literally removed from under the seat, where there are still countless unoccupied chairs and seats available!!! Unison bluntly monolingual: “On a besoin de la chaise!”. Is this café run by some shadowy dictatorial authority?
Facit: As if everything in Bozar is done to make it difficult and unpleasant for the visitor. Actually a shame for Brussels!

We have visited the David Hockney exhibition today with the family and it was very interesting yet disappointing.
Disappointed because there was no ability to live around with the baby buggie. We were kindly escorted with the lift to the second floor to visit the mean hall, but when it came to stairs, no assistant was offered and we weee even told that this is not the right place for babies and that they don’t appreciate bicycles in there either.
We were carrying the buggie ourselves, bet the thought was, that if there would be a person in a wheelchair, it would definitely have issues in moving up and down the stairs.
Will visit again, but todays service has left a bitter taste.

This museum has good expositions but the accessibility for wheelchair users is absolutely horrible ! They are stairs absolutely everywhere. Taking the elevator is a lengthy protocol involving the company of a staff member. Would not recommend it for people with a handicap.

We visited the Bozar to see Morrissey. Our first time at the venue and it was a lot bigger than expected. It has other spaces besides the theatre where the concert is held. It’s a very impressive venue, only let down by the security being a bit too heavy handed with fans at the end of the gig.

Was here for a corporate dinner. Despite being told in advance of severe allergies, their idea of shellfish free food was a joke. I couldn't eat anything they'd pre-prepared. Eventually they managed to find me a plate of vegetables. Snooty and unhelpful staff.

We visit Bozar because of the Rinus Van de Velde exposition (Inner travels) Nice, interesting exposition. The place is well organized, cleaned toilet, lockers and portable stools, a nice book shop. Very good!

I visited the widely publicised Rinus Van de Velde Inner Travels exhibition with two friends from Antwerp. To the novice it provides an introduction to the wide variety of the production of this contemporary artist: life-size cardboard objects (a car, a train carriage, machinery), giant clay ashtrays, imaginary landscapes, monumental charcoal drawings, colour drawings of imaginary adventures and video performances. Visitors seemed somewhat bewildered by a video featuring the artist (or one of his assistants?) using his private part for an unusual karaoke session. As Marcel would say, it must be art because it is presented in an arts museum.

Brilliant exhibitions being shown, a great collection of modern and historic art.
We attended one modern are exhibition, and photographic exhibition on the Harlem area scene in the late 80s, and a collection of historic paintings owned by the Medici family of Florence.
Friendly helpful staff and a lovely venue

I am not going to enter into the debate on the artistic impact of the artist. World known artist of the late 20th century Keith Haring is a name which equal with engaged, demonstrative, hugely talented and artistically daring street artist.
But I will not spoil the beauty of the exhibition. A must! Beautiful and numerous paintings snd drawing, on different materials, clear and rich explanations, video installations brining in the spotlight the rich artistic life in NY of the 80s as much as the political activism linked to gender rights, the exhibition is one of the best in the last years.

Can anyone inform me about the first few rows and why the seats would be priced cheaper in the Henry Le Boeuf Hall?
Written October 30, 2019
I wouldn’t know for sure, but I believe because they are lower than the scene, so the view upwards towards the performance is not the best. Middle seats towards centre of the room or even first balcony are the best.

I'm looking for a restaurant / bistro / brasserie in the neighbourhood of the Bozar. Suggestions anybody? Places you have been to yourself. Thanks
Written March 31, 2015
Now in 2018 you have in the museum two restaurants. Both good quality. One more expensive and bigger choice.
