Be aware that as of the summer of 2022, and like a surprising number of popular attractions in European cities, crews are performing construction work in the Mont des Arts gardens. They only close off a small section, but there’s the potential for views to be impeded and/or noise to be heard. Despite this, I highly recommend a leisurely walk or a picnic here, as the impact isn’t too major. It’s clean, safe, and affords amazing views of central Brussels at the elevated part of the gardens. Just finish that construction ASAP!

On our way back to our neighbor we pass through the Mont des Arts (meaning "hill/mount of the arts") is an urban complex and historic site in the center of Brussels, including the Royal Library of Belgium, the National Archives of Belgium, the Square – Brussels Meeting Centre, and a public garden. This was converted to an arts' quarter by King Leopold II at the end of the 19th century. Various architects and urban planners were called upon to draw plans of the buildings which were to accommodate all kinds of cultural institutions. There was a light sculpture at one end of the square. Allow ~ 30 min for your visit.

I imagine in days gone by that this area was popular with Brussels society and was a place for people to promenade and be seen.

The area has been beautifully kept and is still very beautiful with places to sit and enjoy the scenery and nature as well as some of the sculptures in the area.

Well worth checking out for the Brussels skyline.

Mont des Arts is an urban leisure area that includes a very nice garden area as well as the Royal Library of Belgium (KBR), Square Brussels and the National Archives of Belgium. It extends from Place de l'Albertine to Coudenberg.

Most visitors likely visit here to see the hillside garden which is nicely landscaped with shrubs, trees and numerous monuments, fountain as well as a delightful Carillon. Unfortunately, the grounds can be quite trashy first thing in the morning but when clean, this is a nice public garden with good views and monument viewing.

From the southeast, there is an elevated platform with very nice views towards the Grand Place. This is a neat spot early in the morning when the sun rises and begin to put light on the town hall in the distance.

I can only comment seeing this in December. Foliage was bare.

It is a nice view at the top of the hill that you can see a view of the city. It is NOT a panoramic view as other reviewers had described or what is written in tour guides.

There were see-saws near the King Albert I statue that was a nice touch.

Walked through here while we were exploring Brussels, the view is quite amazing of the city from the top of the stairs.

Even in the winter, it was a really nice place to walk around. There is a lot of graffiti to take pictures of and a lot of other cool buildings around for photos.

Great place in the middle of the city to hang out.

The view from both sides literally took my breath away. Off course, I walked the entire length, took my time on both ends, and took some photos. It is impressive, and centrally located in the art-dom of Brussels.

This has the same photo as my postcard of the Albertine and congress centre at Brussels but Trip Advisor did not seem to have it listed. It is an urban complex and historic site in central Brussels, Belgium, including the Royal Library of Belgium (KBR), the National Archives of Belgium, the Square – Brussels Meeting Centre, and a public garden. It is a very impressive building and well worth a visit

Located within a relaxing stroll from Grand Place, this rejuvenated urban complex, with its beautifully-manicured garden at its centre, guarded by the equestrian statue of King Albert I and surrounded by some of Brussels most important buildings such as its library and national archives. From the elevated vantage point, you’ll be greeted by the view of Brussels skyline, dominated by the tower of Brussels Town Hall. Excellent place to relax and while your day away.

This place is very beautiful and view from here is stunning. You could take a little walk or Metro train ride from the city center, but it's so worth it. There are many shops and place to eat near by. But most importantly, take your camera and shoot some pictures, then get immersed in the stunning view.
