Be aware that as of the summer of 2022, and like a surprising number of popular attractions in European cities, crews are performing construction work in the Mont des Arts gardens. They only close off a small section, but there’s the potential for views to be impeded and/or noise to be heard. Despite this, I highly recommend a leisurely walk or a picnic here, as the impact isn’t too major. It’s clean, safe, and affords amazing views of central Brussels at the elevated part of the gardens. Just finish that construction ASAP!

Bozar again spoils the public with a series of literary evenings. Bozar literature proposes interesting conferences, meetings with exceptional writers, documentaries about some of the leading figures of contemporary literature. For any lover of books these conferences are a source of great intellectual insight in the works of major writers. Tonight a debate followed by the documentary “Toni Morrison - Pisces I am” about the famous American Nobel prize winner for literature and one of the icons of American artistic intelligentsia - a writer who brought the language to the highest peaks of poetry and imagination.

On our way back to our neighbor we pass through the Mont des Arts (meaning "hill/mount of the arts") is an urban complex and historic site in the center of Brussels, including the Royal Library of Belgium, the National Archives of Belgium, the Square – Brussels Meeting Centre, and a public garden. This was converted to an arts' quarter by King Leopold II at the end of the 19th century. Various architects and urban planners were called upon to draw plans of the buildings which were to accommodate all kinds of cultural institutions. There was a light sculpture at one end of the square. Allow ~ 30 min for your visit.

Walked through here while we were exploring Brussels, the view is quite amazing of the city from the top of the stairs.
Even in the winter, it was a really nice place to walk around. There is a lot of graffiti to take pictures of and a lot of other cool buildings around for photos.
Great place in the middle of the city to hang out.

The view from both sides literally took my breath away. Off course, I walked the entire length, took my time on both ends, and took some photos. It is impressive, and centrally located in the art-dom of Brussels.

This place is very beautiful and view from here is stunning. You could take a little walk or Metro train ride from the city center, but it's so worth it. There are many shops and place to eat near by. But most importantly, take your camera and shoot some pictures, then get immersed in the stunning view.

high place, chill ambiance with a view on the city and a park, close to the museum of music instruments (for a cultural visit) or places to hangout and have a drink

The featured tripadvisor photos don't reflect what it looked like when I visited in June - graffiti all of the the base of the horse statue, gardens in poor condition, and a lot of rough looking teens hanging around. I hope this isn't the norm, but I didn't have a great first impression when visiting this site.

The place has so many gardens with colorful arrangements of flowers. Quite bigger than I thought. It's located not very far from Grand place.

Well, you know that Brussels doesn't have so many interesting places to visit.
This was so far the best to me (besides the Grand Palace).
Standing on the balcony and steps, took photo overlooking the underneath garden.
Superb!

How many steps is it to climb to the top? If I had to go by tram from Bourse, which stop should I get off at to get there without climbing?
