Very interesting visit. The guide was really nice and he clearly had a wide knowledge of the whole place and the EU in general. Was very attentive and answered to all the questions. It was a dynamic talk and show of the place and Parliament process.

The Parliament is composed by several nations that together decide on relevant topics that affect Europe and the world. Such as immigration and immigrants between European countries, famine, work adaptability and many more. The hop on hop off bus has a stop right in front of the building. But you can also easily access by public bus and train. By train the closest station os the Bruxelles/Luxembourg station. It is FREE to visit. I am not sure if they offer guided tours at this moment. However, It was an easy access and the building has so many signs in many languages that it is almost impossible to do not understand what they do. The UN is a complex of buildings and it is impossible to see all at once in one day. If you are really passionate about the topic, you will need to go back again. There, we learned that UN voted in actions to reduce the number of immigrants arriving in specific countries only. Which made cities over populated, with product demands super high and lack of job opportunities accommodation to the new arrived. They voted to flow immigrants to other countries in other to have a better population distribution. This is just one in between many other actions. There is a very affordable restaurant inside the building. Fresh and fair price.

This was not the easiest of places to find using public transport but well worth the effort.you need your passport to be allowed in. Parliament was sitting when we visited. Sat in the upper viewing tiers, it was great to be able to see and hear what was going on, headphones were provided. You could stay as long as you wanted. Free to enter, free coat and bag check. LOTS of groups of school children.

We visited the European Parliament (EP) complex on a Sunday, and weren't able to visit inside. This modern ediface is composed of 751 members (MEPs), now 705 because of Brexit. The Parliament represents the second-largest democratic electorate in the world (after the Parliament of India) and the largest trans-national democratic electorate in the world (375 million eligible voters in 2009). Allow ~ 15 + min for your visit unless you're able to go inside.
