A must-visit for any Brussels tourist. Build-in 1846, the galleries are in total 230 meters long and 8 meters high with an impressive glass roof. The entrance is free. Today the galleries offer a plethora of traditional and modern (more expensive) shops. You can have a drink here, eat cake and there's also a movie theater. For photography, the galleries are best visited after dark when the lights come on and the spacious atmosphere is mesmerizing.

Honestly we passed through this gallery by pure chance, we were not aware it even existed; I have visited many galleries and this is in the top 10 for sure. The decor, the architecture is very nice, you can feel the wealth of it. If you are a chocolate lover, than you have to pass through this gallery, because there is a good variety of shop offering different types of Belgian chocolate and pralines.

On our tour, we were given the history of this beautiful shopping center. An indoor shopping area with a ceiling that allows natural light was remarkable achievement over 100 years ago. Today, the high end shops, cafes, chocolate vendors cater to tourists. A must visit

Have you ever witnessed an extensive shopping centre inside old medieval architecture buildings? This is the one for you then. It was extremely beautiful. The shops were all top notch, even the cafes too, and posh, all housed within this beautiful glass roofed building that had touches of gothic architecture and the wonderful arches and designs.

This stretch of walk was very nicely lit when we visited in January. It is a great place to experience Belgium chocolate (even though it can be quite pricey). A good place to look for pretty things to take home with you.

I have to admit that I am one of the few husbands out there that loves to take his wife shopping. I go around the store picking out accessories for her whether it be for clothes or kitchen appliances. However, it is just as enjoyable when I visit an amazing set of stores and help others on a tour group spend their money. I get great satisfaction in seeing other people smile. The set of stores here range from elegant and classic to very elegant and very classic. Nothing is too outrageous. All the shops are top notch. The cafes were all full, offering a variety of cuisines. I never knew that waffles could be served in so many different ways. The nice part about this place is that it is all indoors so if the weather is bad, the shopping does not have to be. The Gothic architecture is completely amazing too. In the end, this is a must visit place even if you simply do a rather quick walk through. Just outside and around the corner is a bar that serves more types of beer than any where else in the world. Guess I have to come back and spend some serious time here!

The Gallery is a feast for the senses, with an overwhelming array of delightful chocolate shops and pastries. Each window display is a fantasyland of sugar and chocolate and samples are available in many of the stores making picking your chocolates easier and fun. The Gallery gets very crowded on the weekend but if you can arrive in the early hours of the weekday you will have many of the shops to yourself and more space to roam!

I was impressed with Belgium's creativity. Everywhere you go there is Art, Design, Poetry, Colour...inside this gallery there are several fancy stores. You don't need to pay it is FREE to visit and window shopping. One of my favourites stores was the one that only sold hat. All types of hats.

A nice little undercover mall that’s filled with beautiful little cafes and chocolate stores. They are all very welcoming to tourist and appear to offer a reasonable price on good in this location. There are also places you can purchase waffles from too and regular lunches. Highly recommend this place and very friendly.

This place has somewhat more expensive stores, and you must be early to get the absolute and elementary place at one of the cafes. In the chocolate stores they stand at the door to give you at taste of what they sell. A great place for people watching too. Do not forget to check out the restaurants in the side streets between the too gallery streets.
