Those who have been to Paris would recall Hotel de Ville. With young kids you can get them an ice cream from one of the several outlets around and let the kids run around. There are significant varieties of cuisine available, souvenir shops, etc. Very near to the central station, you have good connectivity too. In this area there are... More

Historic building right on the grand place. We were not allowed to go inside. May be that's the norm.

Construction of the hall began in 1401 and was completed in 1455. The building reflects the grandeur of Brussels which was then a major European trading center. The 96 m high tower in Brabantine Gothic style was built in 1449. At the top of the tower you can see St Michael, the patron saint of the city. The building underwent... More

Hotel de Ville (city hall) in the Grand Place is Brussels is an architectural gem from the Middle Ages. We did not go inside but along with all the guild halls surrounding the Grand Place, this is a must see in Brussels.

The heart of Brussels, this is a must visit spot for people who travel to Brussels. Although there are always lots of people both in day-time and night-time, it is very nice to stay in front of the town hall for a while and enjoy the view.
