We passed by Palais de la Nation twice but unfortunately were unable to go inside. Upon checking more closely we later found out that you need to make prior arrangements in order to visit the building. However even from the street this building is worth a visit just to admire it for a few minutes. The neo classical architecture is wonderful. This palace was built in 1783. At the time it was known as the Palais des Etats-Généraux. Since 1830 it has been known as Palais de la Nation, or the Palace of the Nation, or the Belgian Parliament House.

Walked past a few times and never caught it open. Still the facade is splendid , large with some very neat and tidy gardens. It says out the front Parliament, so no wonder there were guards during the week

Most people will just view the building from the street and not have time to arrange to be part of a group visit. The website says that you should book a tour about four months in advance. So we took a few photos and moved on to the park across the road which is much more interesting anyway (unless you can go inside). Perhaps you can just turn up and watch debates as you can in the Houses of Parliament in London, but I did not get that impression. Perhaps the representatives of the people should think about that!

What a waste of time and effort, especially on a weekend. If you never see it, you will not miss a thing in your life.

Neoclassical building which is after all the main style in the city. Huge and nice, find it and take a look. Belgian Parliament!

I am not sure if you can tour the interior, you might be able to arrange a tour. Otherwise you will be admiring the exterior from the street like I did. Grand and impressive, it's a study in typical extravagant Belgian architecture.

There is so much impressive architecture around in Brussels but a quick stop outside the Palais de la Nation with the flags fluttering in the breeze makes a great photo! We weren't invited in!

I was just passing by after visiting Brussels Park. This is a beautiful , very formal. Didn't get to visit the inside as it's New Year's Day.

We passed the Palais de la Nation several times and I thought the architecture of this building was quite impressive. Nearby there are many embassies of other countries, so it is a very good neighborhood. Plenty of security.
