This tour perfectly shows the most underestimated part of Belgian culture - its cuisine. Not only beer, but the kitchen as general. Mussels, chips and chocolate (for dessert) are the first thing to taste when on Belgian soil.

I did the beer and chocolate tour alone last year and this year with a friend. We had Marc as our guide, and he is absolutely fantastic! He REALLY knows his beer and chocolate. There is even one place with great beer that is so exclusive, you can't get it anywhere else, and you can't even buy the glass that goes with it. But it just makes it that more special ;) And there's a place that has the best waffles ever. But I won't give you the names of these places. You'll have to book the tours and ask for Marc. Trust me - you won't be disappointed!…

Had a lovely time today on a guided walking tour of the sights of Brussels. James our guide was very knowledgable, friendly and engaging. Better still he isn't from Brussels but clearly has the city in high esteem. I recommend this tour.

Review of: Brussels Chocolate Walking Tour and Workshop
My father and I are on a two week trip to Europe, traveling from the Netherlands, through Belgium, Germany and Switzerland in search of the best chocolates we can find, and this chocolate walking tour was definitely the highlight of the Brussels leg of our trip. Not only did Karla give us an in-depth history of making Belgium chocolates, but she also told us all about her country and city with so much passion and love for Belgium and Brussels. We were lucky enough that it was a very small tour group of just my father and myself and were able to ask every question we had, but it also gave Karla the chance to show us some lesser traveled areas, explaining about the art and culture of Brussels, including the intricacies of the government, language, history, and legends and lore. The best part was trying all of the different chocolates, Karla’s explanations of each type of chocolate, and the origin of the coco beans and how where it is derived from changes the flavor of the chocolate. We started off with some amazing chocolates from the beginning of the tour, but the last three chocolate shops had some of the best, most interesting artisanal chocolates you can’t find anywhere in the States. My father and I both highly recommend this tour. The chocolates were amazing, and our guide was the best!…
