just a few minutes away from the hotel, somehow tricky finding this place, but with the help of some locals, found the place and it's worth it. great find place with good tasting beers and some snacks to grab. a must visit place, also close to the grand place.

After my terrible dinner at Le Calawhatever.. I ran out without leaving a tip and saw the interesting sign for Toone theatre.. Even though I didn't see a show I was so warmly welcomed and felt right at home in the cosy, chatty bar I was happy to just sit and soak in the atmosphere.. Puppets are really cool! What... More

We only visited due to the reviews on trip Adviser and what a wonderful place this is. An unusual and quirky place with puppets and posters of the shows around the walls. The bars are fairly small but the beer is very different with us tasting orange and cherry beer. Very different and a must to visit. Would love to... More

It's really a puppet theatre but you enter through the very popular bar area. Wooden tables and benches can make this a very social place! It is not far from Grand Place and down an ally off Petite Rue des Bouchers. Didn't see the puppets which I am told are very traditional but a good range of beer and snack... More

Very interesting place with loads of history. But of course you come for the beer and there's a lot of different types all with there own type of glass. It's also very hard to find but once you do your enjoy it.

For a first timer it is incredibly difficult to find. From the Grand Place, a series of narrow streets would bring you to Toone. Ambience is not that great but the atmosphere overall is good. Place is good enough for a small party or for spending some time with your near and dear ones. Its a bit away from the... More

Thought it high time I review Toone and several other Brussels 'must have a beer here' places after 5 visits! As other reviewers mention, it is a bit if a trick finding, but not hard once you know :). If you enter through the garden, you go right into the theatre area, tabled when not in use-through a low threshold... More

It's one of my favorites bars in Brussels. First because it's a estaminet and secondly because it's a traditionnal Brussels' puppet theatre. To my knowledge, it's the last one and oldest one in Brussels. There are few shows but it doesn't matter because it's in french local dialect. If you come to Brussels, you will be very close because it's... More

You need to spot this place, because it is hidden away. If you can find it you will have an Alice in Wonderland experience. Great for a beer or for a performance.
