It's a little hard to find the actual theater. You have to walk through the café, including the open-air courtyard, to the entrance in the back. It was a pretty bare-bones theater, as befits a puppet show. The walls of the theater were hung with marionettes from previous (and for future) performances. The show this night was Romeo and Juliet.... More

A step away from the Grand Place and the Royal Gallerie Saint Hubert, this is a little hidden gem in the very heart of the city. It is easy to miss so keep your eyes open for the colorful frescos that can me seen from the street. The place is very nicely decorated, in fact it is a functioning puppet... More

We got a tip about this pub and decided to check it out. It has a theme based on marionettes. Lots of beers on tap and in bottles. Old wood and felt like it was 500 years old (probably rebuilt after WW2). Would highly recommend this place for a Belgian beer or 2.

Whilst we didn't see a show at the Toone the attached bar is a very quiet and quirky place to escape the hustle and bustle, a wide selection of beers and a very friendly cat. We went a couple of times over the weekend to have a rest and sample a few different beers, definitely worth a visit.

Just in the center of Brussels, don't forget to order a cheese portion with your beer! The best place for quiet talk with friends. Big terrace to enjoy the belgian sun!

Discovered Toone from a beer guidebook. Perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the touristy Grand Place. Very laid back service but its what makes the place. Great choice of beers and an authentic atmosphere.

A Brussels institution. A wonderful selection of beers served by knowledgeable staff in the unique setting of a marionette theatre. A word to the wise- the beer menu does not show the strength of the drink so you may end up with a pleasant glow quicker than you thought. Look out for the bar cat who keeps a friendly eye... More

Visited Toone on Saturday evening for the first time in about 30 years! Coinciding with the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo they were putting on a show about Napoleon - great fun, and very well written, narrated, and “acted” by the puppets. As it was all in French some was a bit lost on my husband who speaks... More

Such a good find, down a very quite side alley off an extremely busy main road you find this beautifully hidden away pub, plenty of beer choices and a lovely garden to spend a summers evening in. Glad we found this place!

A bit off the beaten track, but worth finding... Nice little beer garden out the back with some nice beers on the menu. Had a great evening.
