- Li SEly, United Kingdom1,015 contributionsLovely vibe and eventWe visited after a visit to Autoworld - we were about to go home but heard music so checked it out. There was some sort of arts festival on, so we grabbed some beers, slushies, and waffles and chilled out on the grass. The park was immaculately clean despite being busy, there were eco-toilets there too which was amazing, but doubt they're regular. The vibe was just lovely, locals chilling with books and doing yoga, etc. It felt really safe. Would 10/10 recommend for a spare sunny day!Visited April 2024Traveled with familyWritten April 17, 2024

Patc du Cinquantenaire is a well proportioned outdoor space with adjoining museums and art galleries. It also has an excellent permanent exhibition of motor cars that will catch the imagination of young and old. There are playgrounds for small children and places for teenagers to play soccer and basketball. The park is both a joggers place and a walkers space with plenty of gravel paths and green grass. It is safe and well maintained but sadly lacks a public toilet facility. This is a good place for young children, energised teens and more sedate walkers. It is near the European Commission and also easily accessible by metro. Put it in the diary.

The Parc du Cinquantenaire is a large public park in the eastern part of Brussels. We gave ourselves a walking tour of the city, about 40 minutes from the Grand Place to this park, with various other famous sites and buildings along the way. The highlight of the park is the Triumphal Arch; the park was planned to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Belgium's independence, although the arch itself was not completed until the 75th. We enjoyed walking through the park, seeing flowers and gardens, the cute Tour de Tournai, and enjoying the people watching. Definitely worth a visit to appreciate this spot with its history, gardens, and architecture.

Giant garden to take a walk with the family. At the entrance there is a beautiful Arc de Triomphe and the Automobile Museum, we only entered the hall, we didn't pay €17 to enter the exhibitions. The park is far from the center but it's cool.

If you're in the area it's worth checking out. The large park is beautiful and peaceful which was a surprise since it's located in the middle of the city. There are monuments and statues all around the grounds, in addition to the main building too.

Built to mark the 50th anniversary of Belgium's independence, this is an impressive large garden with sculptures, extensive walkways and water features. A dominant feature is the triumphal arch with three arches and a bronze quadriga at its summit. It is slightly shorter than the Paris Arc de Triomphe but the arches are phenomenal. The feature is also part of the tour bus route. A place to relax and enjoy!

Parc du Cinquantenaire (Jubelpark in Dutch) is a park in Brussels, Belgium. The park is laid out around a city gate with three arches that the people of Brussels call the Arcades du Cinquantenaire. Several museums surround it: the Army Museums, the Aviation Museum, the Automobile Museum, and the Royal Museums of Art and History which present vast collections of objects and reconstructions of sites from all continents. The esplanade which extends in front of the Palais is regularly used for the organization of events of all kinds: among the start and finish of the 20 km of Brussels, environmental festival, bicycle festival, concerts, festivals, events, drive-in movie etc.

After the visit to the European Parliament hemicycle, I got off at the Schuman metro station and calmly walked through this large park. It was late morning, few people, few tourists, very beautiful, well kept, clean, some flowers already planted. Once past the imposing Arc de Triomphe, 3 museums overlook the square, including the military one and the Autoworld. Then another short stretch and you come out, beautiful buildings, nearby is the Merode metro stop.
It's a shame we weren't able to tour it in its entirety, enjoy this tranquility after days of confusion in the city centre.

This is Brussels' version of Hyde and Central parks. Parc du Cinquantenaire is a huge, lush space at the western end of the Belgian capital. A vast area of greenery, it is the place to enjoy a bit of serenity while staying in the city. The park is also adorned with the Belgian version of Ard de Triomphe and two stately museums.

Breath taking park. Beautiful well-planned green space. Absolute enormous arch with appealing architecture and statue. You will get a lot of good photos here. A great addition is the waffle van here was really delicious at a great price.
