Such a fun and unique experience! Our instructor (Harry) didn’t expect the workshop to have so many people so there weren’t enough machines for our party of 5. Instead he offered that we come back after our scheduled class time to have our own separate class where we would have enough machines and supplies for all of us. We came back at 7 pm and really appreciated that Harry was willingly to work overtime and stay late so we can have a good experience. Needless to say, we really enjoyed the class! Harry did a great job of explaining the steps and history/facts of Belgian chocolate. We also really liked that he played music and he would help fix our mistakes afterwards instead of taking it and doing it for us.
Overall, Harry was amazing and we were super impressed with the staff for going above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our experience! Super fun class and the chocolate was delicious! Also, love that they make hot chocolate for the class as we wait for our chocolate to cool.

Very worth the time and money for this workshop.
The time flew by, do not be put off by other reviews saying it took too long.
Maria was very good at both her storytelling of some of the history of chocolate. A good amount of chocolates which tasted very good. Overall there were 8 people per table which may sound like a lot, however there was loads of room to navigate. Was a very nice atmosphere with Christmas music being played and everyone was having a good time. I don’t usually write reviews but felt like I had to after this experience as at first I wasn’t sure if it was worth it, however it definitely was worth it.
There was plenty of chocolate with my partner, we made the chocolates to go home with and had plenty of chocolate during the session alongside with complimentary hot chocolate.
Although my chocolate making skills weren’t the greatest in the visual department. They tasted great due to the guidance by Maria and the ingredients which were generously given out from: honey, caramel, nuts, raisins, ganache.
I believe this is a must if you’re in Brussels!!!

We enjoyed the hands-on activity, but the instructor spent too much time talking. Other than that, he was friendly and informative. We made chocolates in molds and on wax paper and with nuts. We watched ganache being made, and drank hot chocolate. We were given a beautiful little box to take our chocolates home in. I suggest little caramel balls are added in the future.

This class started off really rough. We had just done the beer tasting through this company the night before, and that was sub par, and the beginning of this was even worse than that was. Our instructor (Aaron) seemed very hungover and wasn’t making much sense at the beginning. His accent also made it difficult to understand his English, but not impossible; this was not helped by his tendency to decrease in volume at the end of his sentences. The class wasn’t very enlightening about the significance of Belgian chocolate, let alone about what the chocolate was that was in front of us. The most frustrating part was Aaron’s inability to instruct—instead of coaching individuals through different parts of the class, he would instead forcefully take the objects, do it himself, and then move on, sometimes while making snide comments. At one point, we were given a tray of nuts and fruits to add to the chocolate. It only included maybe 5 almonds and one girl later asked for more...which he wouldn’t give her. Really? We’re gonna pay €30+ per person and you’re gonna be stingy on almonds ? The class got better towards the end, but probably only because we began to eat our chocolates (which were tasty). I would not come back to this company for any future experiences.

My wife had signed up for a Belgian Chocolate Workshop and I dropped her off in the morning for the 3 hour class. She was paired up with another team and got a great demo from a teacher on how to make different types of chocolates. They did a hands on class and she got to bring the chocolates she made back and they were very tasty.

The chocolatiers were really friendly and helpful, they involved everyone in the group and got us interacting together. The chocolate was good quality and was really good fun learning to do it all. Good value for money. The location was a little strange, a way out of the centre. And perhaps 2.5 hours a little long, but overall we had a great morning and lovely homemade chocolates to take home as souvenirs!

This workshop was fun and lighthearted and the perfect way to spend a morning/early afternoon. Well worth the price, which wasn’t at all exorbitant. It’s small enough to be intimate. Easy day trip via Thalys from Paris! And the chocolates made lovely gifts! I will go again, just because.

What a fabulous experience! Our instructor (I’m sorry, I’m terrible with names - she said it’s French for finger!) was personable, patient, and knowledgeable. The group was large (21), but it went really well. Such a great experience and the chocolate was far superior to anything we bought in town. Take the class!

I booked this and, on the day of, I considered not going because I was exhausted. However, I drug myself out of bed and I'm soooooo glad I did. This was the highlight of my time in Brussels. I went by myself and had the best time. We made a ton of chocolate and they actually turned out like something you would see in a shop. The hot chocolate made at the end was from the 'leftover' chocolate from the class. It was delicious and I'm tempted to make chocolates at home just so I have leftovers to make hot chocolate with. You think you know what hot chocolate is, until you have this!! I walked away with some chocolate making skills and knowledge to be a smarter buyer in all of the stores I visited during my trip. There was everything from solo travelers to couples to families in this class. Really, don't think about it. . .book it!!

Terrible instructor who was impatient and sarcastic with mistakes and questions. Will not recommend.
If the company is seeing this, I went on 27th July 11am. Feedback for your staff. Maybe the company has more than one instructor, but really depends on luck then.

Oi Jonas,
Não tem certificado porque o curso é só de 2.5 horas. E uma actividade divertida pra aprender a fazer chocolate belga de 2 tipos: mendiant e praline, não é curso profesional mesmo.
