I live in Antwerp, and hired a city bike and an electric bakfiets this weekend as my sister and little niece and nephew were visiting. The city bike was easy to ride, and the bakfiets was a HUGE hit with the kids - can't recommend one enough, so much less stressful than walking with under-6s, or waiting around for public transport, and actively part of the entertainment for them! They loved being chauffeured around in their bucket bike! Jona and his friendly and knowledgeable Cyclant staff really went above and beyond the call of duty with the logistics of our bike hire - thanks so much guys for making our family weekend work!

We rented bikes for the family to cycle in Antwerp and Cyclant was a great place for this. Their bikes were of very high quality (we rented the non electric version), easy to ride for our kids, came with locks. Staff was super friendly and helpful. The shop is ideally located by the train station,is open everyday, even on bank holidays. I strongly recommend if you want to see Antwerp by bike. Lots of cycling routes to get around town.

The Marnix tour is highly recommended.
Nice, enthusiastic guide who knows a lot about the city and surroundings. Good variety between cycling and stops with explanation. There was room to have a drink during the tour.
The 3 hours flew by and afterwards we took the time to give tips for restaurants, etc. to take.

My son and I had been planning a trip to Antwerp for quite some time around Christmas which is a very busy time for everyone. Still Jona helped us in so many ways to make sure we could use one of his Urban Arrow Cargo Bike during our two days trip. The bike is awesome, the city is great, and the Cyclant guys are unbelievable. By far the best service I have ever seen. Probably the nicest man too. Do not hesitate for one second. If you need a bike in Antwerp, go Cyclant.

We did a day trip to Antwerp and hired bicycles at Cyclant. Good location, just a few steps from the central Station. We paid in advance. One of our friends became ill and it was no problem to cancel 1 bike. Return of payment within a day!
The staff was friendly and helpful. We got a city plan and insider tips about places of interest. The city bikes were of good quality.

Very easy to book bikes, panniers and helmets before trip. Excellent bikes for touring. Friendly staff in shop and convenient location near Antwerp Central station. Large deposit required, but not surprising given the value of the bikes! Easy to collect and return bikes without any fuss.

Fantastic bike shop, and perfectly located near Antwerp Central Station. I rented two bikes for an overnight trek and they were great. The bikes were very high quality, the service was friendly and thorough.

Friendly service and went to great lengths to give us tips for our off the beaten track bike ride. Bikes were well maintained and easy to ride.

We joined this small group tour during our first morning in Antwerp. Nicholas (the co-owner), was our guide. It was Saint Nicholas' Day in Belgium on our tour day and Nicholas greeted us with Chocolate and Tangerines! He is amazing. Beyond his impeccable English, his passion for his hometown is evident. I asked him a ton of questions beyond the scope of the tour, as well, and he was very knowledgeable across a broad range of topics concerning the area.
The tour itself is very well put together and gives you a good understanding of the history and culture of central Antwerp. Also, Nicholas was accommodating to my friend who needs to eat quite often as she is blessed with 0% body fat. I even learned how to take a bike on an escalator! That's optional, of course.
I have done a number of Bike tours when city traveling and I found this tour to be the most enjoyable. Do it!

This was an amazing tour that we should have done at the beginning of our trip. There were 4 people which is including our tour guide( Nicolas ) during our whole tour. Nicolas was personable , thorough and extremely knowledgable about Belgium and Antwerp . He even customized our tour after hearing about some of my family history. If you are in Antwerp and want something fun, cheap and informative this is definitely the tour for you!!!

Die week kunnen we zeker nog een architectuurfietstocht aanbieden voor 15 personen, al kunnen we niet iedereen op een e-bike zetten. Nu is dit op stadsfietsen ook zeer goed te doen, dus als dat ook werkt voor jullie, stuur dan even een mailtje via onze website. (Ik kan hier technisch geen emailadressen posten op tripadvisor) Via die weg kunnen we dan alle details en mogelijkheden bespreken.

We've got one 24 inch kids bike (dress size 124-140) with a nexus 3-gear system.
Alternatively, we have a cargo bike with 4 seats for rent as well.

My wife rides a bike but it's been a while. As long as there are no tight spots I believe she will be okay. We are arriving on a cruise ship at Hetsteen and would like a tour on 8/24 in the morning. Is it easy to get to the central train station where your tours start?

Out tours are designed in such a way that non-frequent cyclist can enjoy the ride perfectly as much as trained cyclist.
The train station is a 15 minute walk from het Steen and you just have to follow a main shopping street (called 'Meir') to find us.
However, on the 24th, we don't organise a regular city bike tour.
If you're interested, we could organise a private tour for you from right outside your ship. If that interests you, don't hesitate to come back to us by email and we'll discuss the possibilities.

We offer our tour Rockox at 3pm on wednesday the 24th.
It will give you a nice overview of the city in about 2 hours and it will work up a great appetite so you can go and enjoy one of the countless good restaurants our city has to offer.

My husband and myself are keen bike riders and would love to go on your Marnix bike tour. We have two nights in Antwerpen in late August, staying at Century Hotel Centrum, very handy to your depot. Our tours are a bit over three hours.
The tours start at 10am on Saturday and Sunday. We also offer an afternoon tour at 3pm on Wednesday. For our full schedule, please check our website.
