Such a nice little castle! Loved walking by, reading the history of it. It's nothing extraordinary or special about it- but for me, it looked like some kind of fairy tale castle. I recommend visiting it, it's really nice.

Steen castle, built in the 12th century was built to guard the harbour and the city. The outside has been rebuilt with the original stones and is in beautiful shape. A must see.

It's pretty but there is no way to go inside. Apparently there used to be a boat museum bit this was recently relocated.

Heading away from Antwerp City centre's hustle and bustle even its only for a short while is worth doing. Steen Castle and the adjacent promenade is a good place to do this with fine views across the River Scheldt.

Just walking around the castle and hearing the commentary from our guide added so much more understanding and interest. Medieval to its foundations and even though added to during different centuries I think it's wonderful. Something for all the family.

Nice facade, but there is no castle. At one point it must have been very impressive. As a castle lover, I was disappointed. As it stands, it's simply a quick photo opportunity.

This castle is small and you can simple walk though the courtyard. It’s worth a quick walk though and a few pictures.

Along the banks of the majestic River Scheldt you cannot fail to see or be impressed by Steen Castle. This is a wonderful fortress, the largest in Europe I believe and it looks awesome. Originally built as a defence of the city and to gain control...More

This place looks like a castle a child would draw. We visited over the Christmas holiday, so the castle was all lit up. It looked really cool. It is close to the ferris wheel and other attractions.
