Pretty, small that is.

Its a facade! The sculpture on the doorstep is good, and yes it looks like a fairy castle, but its just a facade.

We walked along the waterfront and through the castle. It was great for photos but that's it I feel.

Great for some photo opportunities but thats about it. Makes it more worthwhile if you have a guide who can you can tell you about the history and folklore. Not open to the public inside, what parts that are open are used for children's theater training. Still worth a look and its free.

Coming off a river cruise...the castle was just a short walk away. It's close to the old section of town. Interesting history and if nothing else, you need to check out the legendary giant…Lange Wapper who stands in front of the castle!

Although the castle wouldn't be a destination vacation location, it is an enhancement to a day of exploring the city. Located just off the docks, it's convenient to walk to from the cruise ships, and fun to explore, including the big, bronze statue in front! There are great views of the Schelde River and the centuries-old architecture of Antwerp.

Walked up to the castle on our visit in Antwerp. There are better places to visit, it is very small, and unfortunately very defaced by graffiti. Interesting enough to see, but no need to linger.

Close to the Grote Markt and next to the river the Schelde so its pretty easy to find. When you have a walk along the river you can go trough the castle and enjoy the castle which has a high historical value for the city. Behind the castle you have a nice view over the river. Its not big but... More

When you walk behind the City Hall from the center of Antwerp towards the cannal, you will "hit" wight in Steen Castle on SteenPlein. The old piece of history lyes there, waiting to be discovered. Just walk around, take pictures, sit and admire it and think of the old times. There is also a small workshop space inside which can... More

Steen castle is really small and you can only visit the outside. Not really interesting but nonetheless can give it a go on your way to sint-annatunnel.

Beautiful castle by the river with pretty view behind, great for afternoon walk, not even so crowded and close to the city.
