This railway station is rather special as it always used to be an end station in the middle of the city. Trains arrived at one single level and left again in the other direction at the same level. The central station of Antwerp is a real monument. There are also some shops in it. The station has a couple of years been restored. This is for me the most beautiful train station I have ever seen. Its is also next to the famous Zoo of Antwerp

Gorgeous station, easy to find and Get to. The ticket office is a bit slow at times and the escalators will also delay you a bit if your in a hurry so take extra time or buy tickets in advance.

When in Belgium, visit this station. Just do it - most beautiful station in the world, unique in its conception. Belgian ecclectic building at its best.

If you're in the neighbourhood, don't hesitate to go inside. Why not, it's free. Once inside you'll see a beautifully renovated eclectic hall with elements from the 1900's. The central station is a great startingpoint to take a walk over the "Keyserlei" (street with bars and restaurants) and the "Meir" (shoppingstreet), which run through the city as an artery and... How can this be the best rated attraction in Antwerp? By being the best attraction in Antwerp, and quite possibly the best station in mainland Europe.
