5yr old son wound on head in play area
May 2019 • Family
My 5 year old son bumped his head while entering the opening in the play area. When bumping it, the tie wrap attached to the entrance cut him on top of his head.
It was bleeding a lot right away. We had to take him to the emergency post where they treated the wound.
I wrote a letter about this accident. As I feel like accidents like this should not happen at a place that is made for children to play.
Unfortunately I did not receive an appropriate answer or action at all from the management.

Rainy day paradise
Apr 2019 • Family
We visited Monkey Town on Kingsday. It was a very rainy kingsday so the place was perfect. Kids had the opportunity to pay and we had decent food to eat we sat comfortably talking to our friends and the kids didn't want to leave after 3 hours so it was a very good option to celebrate. Parebts can also play with their kids so we went up a couple of times.

Perfect in a rainy day
Feb 2019 • Family
Like many others Monkey Towns in nl it's a perfect place for young kids in a rainy day. A lot of noise but basically no rules for the kids that can use all their energy.

My nine and five year olds had a great time here....parking is 100m away and is free....
It's big and airy, nice seating area for parents with free wifi!!
Very big play centre with laser zone too...
On a wet day with little ones well worth it!!!

Mixed review : Kids seemed to have fun, but it is quite dirty
Jun 2017 • Family
The location is good as it is close to public transport and if you have a car, there are plenty place to park.

The layout is good because you can pretty much keep an eye on the kids at all time. We went in a group and the kids really enjoyed themselves. They can run, jump, climb and slide until their hearts content.

The hygiene is really off-putting. There were a few places that smelt of wee (the long slide was one of them) which was really gross. The toilets also really stank and the few times I went, did not appear to have been cleaned.

The food was typical of any soft play - juices, french fries, toasted sandwiches, etc.We had three five trays as we were such a big group and had juices/coffee over 3 hours. I wanted to clear our table and there was nowhere to put the trays. In other soft plays there are areas that you can put the trays rather than clog up the take out counter. Anyway, in the end I had to put the trays back on the take out counter as they did not clear any tables around us and did not have anywhere to store used trays.

So, a real mixed review. The kids had fun, I just found it dirty.

Years later my children still can't get enough!.
Jun 2017 • Family
We now travel around the world as a family, as we are expats, but there aren't a lot of countries where my children can play indoors like they can in Monkey Town!.

My children counted the days till we would go back for the summer holiday and have been playing for the last three hours and still they don't want to go home.

It's clean here, all is well looked after.... and now during the summer when it is hot, there aren't even that many children here!. Mind you it closes earlier on hot days, but come at 9 and you can certainly enjoy 4 hours or so.... Another thing to keep in mind, Wednesday is one of the days where there are lot's of birthday parties... today they have 8, so perhaps avoid going on Wednesday afternoon.

All in all this is really something for the young to enjoy!... Run, climb and jump they can do here for hours! (parking is for free and there are a lot of parking spaces as it is located in an area with lot's of sportsclubs.

A nice place to go to on a rainy day, children from 1 to 9 will love it.
Dec 2015 • Family
After having been to Monkey Town in Apeldoorn and Arnhem I decided to try the one in my hometown (when I am in The Netherlands) Den Haag.

It is located close to the A12, take the first exit on the right to Voorburg, you'll have to go to the old center and cross the old bridge to get to Monkey Town. It lies in an area with sportsclubs and in fact it is housed in a former indoor tennis court.

It is a bit more compact than the ones in Apeldoorn and Arnhem, but still there is enough room for all children to play.

It has trampolines, a few slides, a soccer/ basketball court inside the play area for children from 4 to 12, it has a few cars that they can ride in and much more to climb in, over or through... My children love it (age 2 and 3)... on average we are there for two and a half hours and each time it is me who has to force them to go home.

The food is not top, but good enough for children to enjoy it. they have a wide variety.

It is not as nice as Arnhem, also not as clean, but for instance cleaner than de ballenbak in Zoetermeer.

A good place to go to on a rainy day for children between 1 and 9. Perhaps good to know that they most crowded days are: Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday, on other days if your lucky you are there with only four or five other families... (specially between 10.30 and 14.00).
