Fantastic park, located on the borders of Wassenaar and The Hague. Great for a walk, as I did. Unfortunately, the Japanese garden is closed due to COVID19 measures and will be closed for the rest of the year. If you get to chance to come back and visit, please do!

Such a great park right in the middle of a great town. Just a wonderful place to spend a day or two. Wandering walking it’s just a great place in the woods close to everything. Ans very few bikes

What a beautiful Estate. We spotted a coot sitting on a nest in the river. Goats, cattle around on the surrounding areas. Historical buildings to admire. I think it is open only certain times of the year. Visit the Japanese garden.

Nice enough green space but some toilet facilities would be nice.
Also a sign at the entrance to say when the Japanese garden is open would help too

this estate is located between the "haagse bosch" and the beach of scheveningen. it used to be used by the resistance in the 2nd world war. the estate is beautiful and covered with tons of places to sit down on the grass, or rest in the shade of giant trees. it's a dig paradise and the woods go off in all directions (but not very far, it's still Holland). In spring there are flowers everywhere and you can watch many birds nest. In summer the tress are cool and bring shade. in fall it is splendid. in winter, with snow, it is breathtaking. be sure to find the old German bunker with bees nest!

This park is open all year and is a wonderful place to walk around, enjoy the water, grass, trees and picnic or socialice otherwise. You cannot park your car here.

This park is the hugest, most beautiful and most varied I have ever seen.
Better visit in May when the Japanese Garden is open and the rhododendrons are blossoming.
There is a whole forest of rhododendrons of all colours. There are also a typical Dutch Garden with a monumental staircase, a forest with huge trees, a small farm with cows, donkeys, goats and sheep, orchard, vegetable gardens, beehives with a very nice beekeeper who sells honey (also from the dunes) and other products for a very good price, canals with bridges, ducks and geese, old bunkers with bats, a big sunny meadow, a tearoom (not exceptional food and drinks though), exotic trees, playground for children, Dutch huts, lakes, sport machines, a gnomes tree, some sculptures...

When the morning is approaching is the right time to visit this area. Activities are still not so busy. Stroll on the edge of the small stream is very beautiful. Occasionally meet with a very beautiful mallard duck. And sometimes when lucky, then meet a cute flock again eating grass. Very comfortable seemed natural grace surrounds.

Langdoed Clingendael is a huge park in the north east part of the Hague. You can get pretty close to it, if you take bus 20 from Den Haag Central (upper level for buses) and take off on the last stop. The park has not much to offer but it has a few kinds of birds and herd of deer. You can even run in this park, it is not very populated by locals.

Great park - we come here almost every week with our dog (lots of areas to keep her off the leash). Great place to spend a picnic as well - great park & woods, great place for a run also. Never really crowded, which is a plus.
