We (a group of 8) did the competition rooms (black vs white) in teams of 4.
At first we had to get used to the idea of this room, and actually needed a few hints. Eventually though we got the hang of it and blew the competition away. Things went pretty smooth from a certain point and we had an amazing fun time playing this escape.
Definately recommend this competition room to groups of 4 per room.

If you want some challenge and excitement I'd definitely suggest you to try out this crazy game. You certainly need your brain and some of your best instincts to finish in time. You have to solve a series of riddles to escape the game whilst the clock is ticking on you! But I don't wanna spoil the game.
We went with a bigger group and played both rooms, it was great fun. Chech it out if you are in the town!

Finally something exciting and new game. I loved the location at the old ministry building!
I highly recommend to friends to have an amazing time or to colleagues for a funny team building.
It was a good idea from my friends to try it out ;)

So here's the deal! You enter a room in which you find a bunch of items, that in themselves don't seem to make any sense, but with your creativity and a little luck, you might just figure out, what they were meant to be. Locks, tricks, puzzles, and a little magic - that's all you need in order to escape the game.
The crew was very helpful in the beginning, pointing out some facts you should keep in mind while inside, and the room itself was very mindful and creative. I definitely had a very fun time, and would recommend it to any group!

We wanted to set an escape record time, but what a foolish thought that was. We had a great time opening up all the cupboards and drawers in search of clues and keys which allowed us to open up other drawers, cupboards, suitcases and safes. In the end we did manage to escape with only 3 minutes on the clock. It was fab!

Good fun - find a clue, solve the puzzle, find more clues, sole a riddle -- sometimes we struggled with doing it right -- at all times help was under way if we struggled too much (and yes we did a few times). Went with colleagues - and had a great time. Good after work activity to have some relaxt still competitive fun. Worth the money - and is also fun to do with kids.

We stumbled across on this nice activity in a Den Haag magazine. First we didn't know what to expect, but the challenge offered by the KGB room sounded exciting. The experience was very intense: we were thrilled till the very last moment. At the beginning it went smoothly, but then we got stuck at one point. Luckily the organisers supervise the event and offer some hints on the way so we could still make it in time (sort of of :)). It was not hard, just at one point our mind stuck in one paradigm and it was hard to switch under stress.
The puzzles are thoughtful and the decoration/sound/light-effects fit very well the story. The organisers are very friendly and flexible, they even conspired with me to hide an engagement ring in one of the last riddles :). Thank you for the super experience!

It is extremly fun ! We were 3 friends and I think it is the perfect number..
I dont advise to have the group more than 4.. They send you hints in the room which make it easier for you to solve it on time.
The website is not usually working ! :(

We expected it to be scary but not THIS scary. Without spoiling too much you can expect some moments of anxiety and jump back moments in which you will scream and run away closing things and saying nope.

Very nice set-up of the room.
Challenging puzzles, and nice features and attributes like invisible inkt, many locks, codefinding, riddles and other challenges. When arriving little gave away that we actually arrived at the right address as there is no big sign or any other clue that A-Maze Escape is located here. Because they're renting part of the basement of the megalarge building they don't really have a private entrance and also they don't have a doorbell, but somehow both of these problems enforce the experience as it helps create the illusion of mysticism and feels like your first task is to find a way into the building. After a call to them on my mobile we got in after all. The building in itself is a experience on it's own. The guy lead us through a maze of hallways to a beautiful hall and then through different stairways we finally arrived in the basement. Their part of the building looks simple. A few couches and tables welcome you to the A-Maze Escape waitingroom where they have various little puzzels for you to solve while you wait. The room we did was the Urban Legend Room. When we entered the room it looked as simple as the waitingroom did, and you got the feeling this would be easy and not much hi-tec features would be used to get out. One hour to get out. Piece of cake....right!?!? But no...
Thanks to various hints via a computerscreen from one of the guys we did manage to get out of the room just in time. Only 4 minutes and a few seconds left when we finally opened the door to the way out! Still 3 minutes earlier then the team we were playing against who did the Crazy Doctor's Room! I won't tell about the tools they used to hide codes and keywords for us, but it's much harder then you realize when you first enter the room! I'm just gonna tell you that the room has many, many locks, and many many codes to find!!! Great experience that I would recommend to anyone! Nice set up guys, well done! We're coming back for sure for the other rooms!!!

We only speak English. Is knowledge of the Dutch language a requirement?
Written July 20, 2016
hi Christiaan! Not at all. Most of the clues are not language based, everything else that is written is both in Dutch and English, and all our team members speak fluent English :)

Hi
If it is good for kids is a bit hard to answer black-&-white.
There are elements that I think an 8 year old kid can enjoy - but some of the clues are far to difficult for that age to solve. The 12 year old I think will have fun.
On the other side - if you do it as a family - you will be able to include all the kids - at the maturity they are - and have fun together
Cheers
