Nice view of the city - I could say unique one.

On the 42th floor there is a beautiful restaurant were you can have a romantic diner while looking over town.

For €6 you can go up the tower, enjoy the excellent views of the city and enjoy €3 worth of drinks (coffee, coke or very small beer). I love tall buildings and I really liked this.

I was born and raised in The Hague but I realized I had never been to the top of the Strijkijzer building (translates into Iron due to its shape, in New York there is a similar building). This building was built approximately ten years ago and has the highest restaurant in the Netherlands. Once you’ve paid the entrance fee (€6) you can take the elevator to the 42nd floor and enjoy the view. There is a balcony where you can take pictures of the center of The Hague (too bad there are some nets which prevent you from taking better photos). With the entrance fee comes a (free) drink so you can enjoy the view a bit more in the restaurant (The Penthouse, you can also lunch or have dinner here but it’s quite expensive). At the bottom there is a small shop selling The Hague articles but they didn’t have a lot to sell.

I enjoyed the experience and made some nice pictures. If you like to view The Hague from above, this is a nice opportunity.

For the six euro admission price, each visitor is entitled to one drink (alcohol included) in the bar at he next-to-top floor. The views from the bar are nice, and it is a comfortable venue. The views from the lower floor are fair, because they they are blocked by dirty windows. There is an outdoor view walk which is surrounded by a grid of protection making photography difficult. The problem is that the outdoor walk is a metal grid with many sharp points (to provide better traction), but has poorly identified stops. So, I fell. It can not have been the first time, judging from the first-aid acumen of the staff.

Dear Aaron, thanks for your review! Hope you are now feeling better? My staff told me what happened...very sorry about that. They just tried to help you as well as they could, so this is not something that has happened before. We always try to instruct people to be careful on the outside walkway. The grid was actually constructed with photography in mind, offering better views than regular nets. But as you will appreciate, safety first at this altitude! Should you be anywhere near the tower again, please let me treat you to a drink on our behalf - I understand it's only a small gesture, but perhaps it can leave you with a better feeling about The Penthouse. Best regards from the 42nd floor, Elwin Giel ps. because of your suggestion I will have a look and see if the steps can be indicated in a clearer way, perhaps with some extra safety notice.

Modern office building near the center, a little bit of Houston in the Netherlands. I was not all that impressed. Modern.

Hi, thanks for your review, but we are not an office building ;-) The Hague Tower houses students and The Penthouse restaurant. If you like, you can visit the restaurant and the sky bar on top to have a great view and take some pictures. The building itself is an elarged copy of the NYC flatiron.

Amazing view of The Hague, worth 5 stars.
Entry is quite pricy at €9.
There is a restaurant on top, with a couple of smaller rooms which is ideal to dine with a group. The food we had on such an occasion was moderate and service was poor (we couldn't order cappucino, only plain coffee, because there was only one waiter fot the group and getting a cappucino would require the waiter to leave the room). What a waste, so 5->3 stars....

The view from the 42 floor on a clear day is super. They say you can look some 40 kms
For someone who is a bit scared of heights then the platform is not for you. The day we were there the weather was very good and managed to get a lot of good photos.

Staying here for a day, what a great view. Very panoramic and excellent view of Den Haag. Beautiful both days and nights.
Very comfortable to stay here. Just opposite the train station and trams. Excellent spot to stay in The Hague for sightseeing around the town.
Beautiful !

For 8 euros entry you get a drink included! The views are fantastic and if you have time have some of the bar snacks as they are exceptional! Great place to go for a romantic day drink!
