My wife and I visited The Hague for a couple of days and booked a tour with Els, and I am pleased we did.

Els was a great host/person/tour guide and historian in one, she was informative, funny, knowledgeable whilst being typical Dutch at the same time.

If you are visiting Den Haag / The Hague then I would highly recommend joining one of the Els on one of her tours. Book via https://www.elswheretours.com

Great group-outing

We had a few groups of around 15-20 people over for a training week in the Netherlands. On Saturday, Els organised a tour in The Hague, including a lunch and visit to the museum. Working with Els was a pleasure: very professional, efficient and good communication. And the participants really enjoyed the day that Els organised. They visited all kinds of nice places in the Hague and learnt a lot about its history and stories. Would certainly recommend this for any (international) group who wants to get to know the Hague!

An amazing and upbeat soul

SUCH a great tour guide😄We encountered her by accident and could join the tour spontaneously without booking in advance. She's so funny and really knows a lot and cares about her home town. She even volunteers as a part of a citizens' initiative to help the poorer district, so many people in The Hague know her. An authentic guide who is really connected to the city. Any time again :)

Family bike tour with Els

Jul 2021

newly arrived in the Hague and could not have had a nicer introduction to our new home city. Together with my 2 teenagers we spent well over 2.5 hours touring the city on our bikes. Els made it fun for us all, it was so insightful and honest. We got lots of tips on places for the teens to go and lots of interesting place to come back to and explore. I will make sure to do a walking tour with Els and highly recommend her to anyone looking to find their feet here or just wanting to enjoy the hidden gems in this gorgeous city.

Great walking tour peppered with humor

Els is one of the best guides we ever met. She loves her city and you can really feel it.
She guided us through the centre of The Hague in a tour that was both educating and entertaining at the same time full of anecdotes and her typical dutch humor.
The tour lasted about 3 hours, but we wish it had lasted for the whole day
Thanks Els, we really hope to meet you again next time we will be in The Hague

Highly recommended local guide

I organised a football tour to The Hague and booked Els to provide us a walking tour after we arrived. Despite a slight miscommunication (my fault) whereby Els thought I was with 16 teenagers but was actually with 16 forty something’s (must have come as a shock but she didn’t let on!!) we had an excellent trip in the autumn sunshine. Els was punctual, spontaneous and knowledgeable - couldn’t have asked for anything more. Highly recommended.

Best tour ever! Straight from the heart. So much passion and full of energy. Els always knows what's up and has an admirable mindset as experienced traveller. Everybody in the city knows her and stops to chat, so she has sources other tour companies never reach.

Know the basics of The Hague

5 stars-guide. She was born and raised in The Hague so that makes her the best option to go on a tour. She knows better than anyone how was the history and the sequence of the most important events in the city, she knows every little corner in the streets and she really wants to share that piece of information with you.
The evening was super fun, we learned a lot about the Hague, its history and some hilarious facts. It's a good way to have a general review of the city and then decide in which in where to do more focus.
Also pet friendly, I almost forgot!!
A pleasure to have taken a walk with Els!

Best tour guide ever!

Els was wonderful! She provided knowledge and insight that only a local could. But Els takes it a step further. It was clear that she has done her own research and reading on her hometown in order to provide a thorough historical background as well as information that only comes from one who has lived there. Historical and current perspectives intertwined in a stroll through town. What more could you ask for? We thoroughly enjoyed Els' perspective and ability to answer even the most obscure questions. She is truly a delight and I highly recommend her to anyone looking to get an overview of Den Haag (The Hague).

Very fun tour

Els was so much fun to tour with. She is very knowledgeable about the city and history and fantastic at telling stories. We had an amazing time with her and learned a lot about The Hague. You can tell she cares a lot about what she does and we appreciated it so much.
