About
The Fenix Food Factory is the new place to experience, eat and buy proper food. You can go for your daily groceries: cheese, bread and veggies. But we also have special beers, ciders, lemonades, cocktails and freshly roasted coffee. Next to that we organize a lot of events and there is always something to eat or drink. If it's sunny we have one of the best views of Rotterdam outside, otherwise you can sit in our living room filled with vintage furniture.

This used to be great in the other building but at the new location the prices have gone up at the same time the quality and selection of food has gone down.
Waitress came to our table spilled our drinks, did an 70% job on cleaning up and left us with a wet table with blocks of ice still on the table and a pool on the floor. Probably the worst attempt at service I have ever seen. Bear in mind that this place charges its hipster clientele top dollar.

We were not sure about the Fenix Food Factory, As soon as we found how hard it was to get to, Figuring that good places like the Market Hall at Blaak works because iof ease of access, and huge footfall..
As we neared it, There was no people 2 ish in aft, And the building looks a dump. Anyway +we arrived, And it looked quite sad, due to almost Zero customers. So we trekked back to the Market at Blaak, And had some nice eats there instead.. Like i say, If this is on your doorstep ,,Fine, But not a destination p[lace

Fun, bustling wee place with plenty of options for food and drink. We could tell it was a hit with the locals, often a good sign. Looks out over the waterways and is near a footbridge leading towards the centre. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside is busy and worth a trip if you were going in that direction. Not sure if we would go out of our way to go again.

Located at a very nice area in Rotterdam (close to Hotel New York), Fenix Food Factory is a new F&B trend in town. Nice concept, nice setup. Eat, drink, chill, it is a nice place to spend your weekend afternoon away here.

From Dairy products, home cheese to cider, you can get local products here. Individual price per item/dish is reasonable, but I would not recommend the weekend brunch meal. I feel is a little bit pricey for a tasting portion from each store, and I was still feeling hungry after the meal.

Overall is good experience and cool concept.

We luckily we're staying nearby, so this place was within walking distance... we're so glad we stopped by for a late lunch... and then stayed for dinner as well. Lots of food and drinks to choose from! And while in the Netherlands why not have a cheese board or some fondue! We opted for the fondue and lots of beer and cider. Would gladly come back on our next visit to Rotterdam

Located in an old harbor warehouse in a formerly shady area (red light district) of Rotterdam, Fenix Food Factory is basically a combination of food court and food market great for both visiting and having lunch or dinner (or even breakfast!).

First of all, it looks really great and just by entering the place you will see why. The building and the surroundings (especially the part next to the water) are ugly and industrial and the interior design, while being very trendy and stylish, blends very well with the industrial feel of the whole area. Inside, there is a small gift shop and a brewery (and I think also a wine place).

Besides this, most of the places are more of a market-type of places selling bread, cheese, vegetables and meat. There are a couple of places or so also serving food, one of which I ate at. It was called Rechtstreex and they had a few options of nice, interesting, healthy and cheap food. I ate melanzana and it was amazingly good and costed less than 6 euros.

The whole place is very cozy and you can sit at normal tables or on couches. There is very good wi-fi and I have found myself spending ~3-4 hours there working (there are some power outlets as well). Overall, it's a great place to chill, eat some great, cheap food, drink a Belgian beer and also buy some fresh groceries for home.

We went there with a local friend. It looks very much like markthalle neun in Berlin. It's basically a nice affordable hip food hall. On the way to the factory you will cross a bridge. It's known for its love locks if you are interested in such stuff. Inside the food hall, it wasn't too busy although we were told normally there would be lines before each stall. Try the cheese and meat platter. The staff is very helpful and they tell you about each type of food. You pay about 3.5 euros per person for either cheese or meat platter, with 5 types of meat or cheese. Also try the beer brewery. They let you choose the most suitable beer to your taste as most of the beer is served from tap. I chose a fruity topper and my friend tried wine, and we were both happy with our decisions. You can also opt for a brunch, which is a combination of special delicasies of cheese & meat along with eggs and croissant and you can top it with a nice beer. Such a pleasant place. I would definitely visit it once a week if I were a local.

This place was recommended by our kids, so we planned a visit on a sunny summer afternoon.
Very nice concept, bringing together a brewery, cheese merchant, bakery, veggie stand, butcher and cider maker who together have given a disused warehouse and quay a whole new purpose in an area that was previously Rotterdam's red-light-district and subsequently a run-down neighbourhood. Not anymore!
Inside is a variety of seating places, from old couches to picnic benches. Outside, on the quay where the steel rails to accommodate train wagons are still embedded in the pavement, you also find picnic benches and an assortment of seating arrangements all made of (parts of) pallets, with great views of the harbor and passing ships. Quite novel and different. Some people even go for a swim......
The concept is simple. You get whatever drink or food you want, and take it where you want to sit. Glasses will be collected after use, but you are expected to bring back the wooden boards on which the food is served.
I was most impressed by the Kaapse Brouwers -the brewery. 20 different beers on draft, and more by the bottle. Reasonable prices, and very nice urban regeneration atmosphere. If the weather is good, they serve barbecued food as well.
Metro, trams and some of the main hotels at walking distance.
All in all, a great place with a nice atmosphere, and constantly changing activities.

This place reflects everything I love about Rotterdam - young, hip (without trying too hard - something restaurants in Amsterdam can learn from), urban, raw, non-touristy, no-nonsense and chill. We've obviously seen the concept before (some sort of food market), but the execution of this one has been done well. The food is delicious, slightly expensive but organic (especially the beers and the cheese platter are great). I wouldn't visit when it's raining, since their terrace is awesome, overlooking the harbour. And the biggest plus; because there is no service, you can relax for as long as you want on just a cup of coffee or a beer (which is un-Dutch - usually, you immediately get stared away by staff when you've finished your drink). Definitely has become one of my favorite places in Rotterdam.
