When we saw this bridge for the second time it was rush hour and obviously it was full of traffic returning from the centre of Rotterdam. Nothing special about it though!

Willemsbrug is the smaller brother of the Erasmus Bridge. So, take a wonderful walk over both bridges, walking along both sides of the Maas river. Noordereiland, in the middle of the river is part of the trip. A unique small part of Rotterdam, fully surounded...More

Not the ugliest of bridges, serves its purpose of connecting the North and the South of Rotterdam in the Eastern part of the center, but nothing special. Also not the most beautiful of bridges.

When you look at the Willems Bridge, with its cable-stayed design, you have the feeling of being dropped in an American movie! Even if it's not as well known as the Erasmus Bridge, this piece of architecture from early 80's is to be seen! It's...More

This bridge is nice, but not that special. But you can walk to the northern part of the city. The other bridge near this bridge 'de Hef' is very nice to see.

This bridge is named after King Willem III of The Netherlands. It was completed in 1981 and replaced an old bridge that was over 100 years old some 150 metres downstream. It was painted red to contrast the Erasmus Bridge which is painted pale blue....More

Rotterdam is famous for its innovative architecture, also regarding her bridges over the river Meuse. A famous landmark and skyline definer is the Erasmus bridge, but a brilliant second is the striking suspension bridge, 1100 m to the east, called Willemsbrug, painted in glorious red....More

Not as popular as Erasmusbridge, Willemsbrug is nevertheless a nice piece of engineering, connecting Centrum with Fejenoord district. Its never jammed and offers great view on the river

I've crossed this bridge several times, by car and by bike... nothing special, just an ordinairy bridge... From here you do have a nice view on the water and on the Erasmus bridge... that would be a reason to have a look... from there you...More
