A nice place to shop and chill in Rotterdam. Not much high end stores (phew!) It's either I didn't see any or I missed it. I don't care. I'm glad I was able to do a little shopping. Beautiful place.

It is basically the center of shopping. Public transportation stops at the Beurs. Form here you can easily go to central station or the other way to the markthal, Beurs is right in between. My favourite shops is Lush! I also really enjoy the small streets around it like Korte Hoogstraat. I am a local so I visit Beurs regularly.

Look if you're looking to shop somewhere there are much better places to go then the "Koopgoot". It's just so basic. Yeah you got you're HEMA's and a couple of shoe stores but there is nothing that really makes it stand out. Besides that it's on a lower level then the ground. If that sounds exciting it isn't.

This is a great place to shop with such a wide variety of stores. Anyone should easily find at least a handful of shops to suit their interests. Definitely check out HEMA if you've never been before. Also, check out Xenos if you're walking towards or are near Markthal: you can get great souvenirs/knick-knacks for great prices!

It could be any shopping street, but Beurstraverse unique feature is it goes underneath the main street. The stores are varied enough but most of them you can find in most European cities, if not the world - H&M, Mango, Body Shop, L'Occitane, Superdry etc. and flagship stores for Dutch retail brands such as HEMA, C&A and G-Star Raw. But what's convenient is, the street below has a mall/promenade-like atmosphere which makes it feel safe and comfortable. However, be careful on the street-level as the tram goes through in the middle of the street.

When we went there, there seems to be an ongoing sale as most shops we visited offered substantial discounts and were able to get good deals.

A not very big shopping mall with not very special shops. If you have seen one, you've seen them all. But if you like shopping, enjoy. It looks nice if you forget the shops. Just one of the nice things to see in Rotterdam.

This is a lovely modern shopping area full of shops of any kind and full of life. I think Forever 21 is the best brand refering models, prices and hospitality. I loved Forever 21 in Usa and i was very happy i found it in Rotterdam, too. I highly recomended this place.

The people of Rotterdam like to give nicknames to objects or places in the city. The Beurstraverse, an long underpass with shops leading from west side of the Coolsingel through the metro station Beurs to the east side of the Coolsingel, was quickly called "Koopgoot" (Shopping gutter). Today you can see this moniker on the official signposts in the city and the original name Beurstraverse is almost forgotten. The Koopgoot has been eclipsed a bit as top shopping attraction by the Markthal, but despite this, it should be high on your list of things to do in Rotterdam.
