Nice city with the museum of Gouda cheese. The city center has a beautiful church and there is a fantastic Gouda cheese shop behind. If you are in the south nearby, it worthes the visit.

Nothing exciting going on but to see 600years or more old tradition in cheese buying and selling Is interesting. Square and the buildings are very nice. Summer Thursdays from 10 till 13.

I chose to spend a day in Gouda to get away from Amsterdam. It was an easy one hour trip from Amsterdam by train. I arrived just as the cheese market was starting at 10am. There are all kinds of booths on the market square....More

Having been to Gouda twice before and with us both loving mature Gouda cheese, I suggested we went to the cheese market. To start with, the town of Gouda is a delight and well worth a visit at any time. The marketplace was heaving with...More
