Beautiful building, you can tell this museum is a genuine labour of love. The owners are knowledgeable and enthusiastic, with a great sense of humour. Whether you have any medical background or not, I think plenty of people could enjoy this museum, whatever age you are. For children who are about to have a surgery, this could also really help them not be too nervous. I would definitely bring guests here in the future.
Kom zeker terug.

From extremely outdated medical tools to cutting-edge technology, you can enjoy every bit of the medical world in this museum. The guide was, despite his lack of fluency in English, extremely interactive and thoroughly explanatory and made roaming in this museum a truly fun experience. He even demonstrated how it’s like to be a surgeon!

A not-too-large museum where history and today meet.

The owner shows you around the place. During the tour he focused on the children, but still made the visit entertaining and very interesting for grown ups.

Highly recommended!

Lovely location and friendly people running it but hardly a museum as such. This is an odd collection of some old medical equipment stretched out over three floors. I could have been in and out in ten minutes but as I was the only person in the place and also English I was given a personal guided tour with an (obvious) explanation of what was on show, ie this is an old dentist's chair. Very disappointing and not worth the €6 entry fee.

Medical history shown in a very nice museum at Stadhuisplein 2 in Dordrecht. Great old historic and modern medical items are shown. Within 90 minutes you get a tour through the museum with interesting stories and explanations. Take your kids with you they will love it too.
At the end of the tour you get a free coffee or tea.

Just across the old CityHall you'll find one of the most charming little museums If ever visited. A personal venture of 2 people with a medical background and a passion for history. The've created a small but nice and divers collection of medical items and story's.

If it is not to busy they will even guide you around themselves. A nice to see when: interested in the history development in Holland of the old days.
