Nice for young kids but very expensive

A nice, but outdated set-up. The pirate stuff was not very interesting and for kids used to Disney etc a real let down. The play area, however, was nice and the aquariums were a... read more

The Arsenaal has an attractive exhibition of aquariums with a lot fishes and other sea animals specially for kids to learn about it. Futhermore it offers activities based on pirate stories. It includes a restaurant

We rode here on rainy day & were disappointed with the dark, musty exhibits that were only available in Dutch. The pirate show (also in Dutch) was a joke with a voice recording that a student acted poorly too. Only highlight was the aquarium with ability to touch some sea critters.

Its a very place to visit with kids.. very good for the rainy days. It is really a place for the kids, it's not really something for adults without kids

On a rainy day this is one of the few things to do with young children. In general the performance of staff is average. Noise levels of music and guide far too loud. Maintenance ongoing and to accessible for kids. This was certainly no value for money.

I went here with my girlfriend when I visited her and her family. We spent a couple of hours here and then went to the arcade next door. Het Arsenaal is a combined aquarium and pirate museum with a very nice "look out spot". We had a wonderful time there, exploring the tanks, petting sharks, looking at the museum artifacts... More

We were in Belgium and saw this town/resort on the map. What a great place. lovely fishing port town with great fish restaurants. A fabulous beach. We were there in 03.2015 and it was just nice but I would guess it will get very busy in the holiday season. If you can get there without the crowds it is wonderful

Well worth the visit and the view from the needle. My kids enjoyed the lighted ship show and petting the stingrays.

The weather can be bad in Holland and what do you do with your children. Well, if they are around the age of 9, don't go to the Arsenal. Its a run down place. While you still have to pay 12,50 euro for kids and 14,50 for adults. For very small children it can be nice. Since tehy dont see... More

A nice, but outdated set-up. The pirate stuff was not very interesting and for kids used to Disney etc a real let down. The pirate adventure show was very 80ish style and would really benefit from an update. Available only in Dutch with German subtitles makes it difficult for the kids to follow. The area where the kids can touch sting rays is very interesting. Good option if the weather does not play along, mainly for younger kids. Just be aware this is... More
