Private Full Day Tour of Bruges from Amsterdam

On our way south you will see typical Dutch polder landscape. This area is marked by windmills, dikes and little canals.
We will pass Rotterdam, the biggest port and gateway to Europe, and cross the former islands of the province of Zealand with its neat villages, beautiful countryside and sandy beaches. We will also see the huge flood barriers that protect the lowlands and keep our feet dry. We cross the Belgian border and soon after we will arrive in medieval Bruges. You can explore the city on board of a canal cruise, followed by a guided city walk. You will be impressed by the Market square and the Burgt square, the beautiful city hall, the fish market and the church of Our Lady with a statue of Michelangelo. What's about tasting Bruges' chocolate, a waffle, Flemish fries or the famous beer? There is time for shopping too!
On our way back to Amsterdam we will have a short stop in Antwerp or at the border (time permitting).
$592.69 per adult

Limited time will be spent on a rainy day, and much is oriented at kids. Even outside you'll finish quickly, unless with some kid activities. Nice area though and good place for a walk in the surrounding area. Cafe has some very nice home made cakes and good coffee and friendly staff. We spent about an hour inside, including the cafe.

Visited not the museum but only the restaurant. Food was of high standard. Normally the salmon is not that good, really! Tera Maris is located in a “hidden” area; not so many tourists visit. Please try to walk through the area and visit the quit and clean beach. It’s venue is in the vicinity of the castle “Kasteel Westhove”. Price is somewhat on the high side.

My kids liked it a lot, it's small which makes it perfect for them. And it is a good combi of inside/outdoors activities. Focusses on the fauna of the area and also about Zeeland so we all learnt something new! It is for free with the museumjaarkaart otherwise it costs 6,5 for adults and 4 for children which is on the high side, not sure if I would pay it (tip: if you stay in the stayokay, then children can go in for free)

Have a nice walk through the garden with a view at the castle. You have multiple router with a variety of 15min up to about 1 hour. They don't charge any entrance fee for the garden, only a parking fee when you come by car.

I was not impressed by the museum, with fishes in aquariums and a stuffed moonfish. The bit of history of Zeeland's towns that are lost to the sea is interesting, but the information may as well be looked up on the internet. The outdoors part goes around the neighbouring castle, so that gives some nice views. There is a small wooden fort on a hill, a motte, which is quite nice.
