The Town Hall with the "Vleeshal" is an impressive 17th century building, designed clearly with Flemish influence (compare the town halls in several Flemish cities). This building dominates the Middelburg "Markt" square and is one of the most important buildings in historic Middelburg.

We were introduced to this marvellous building by friends who live in the area. It really is a must see for any tourist in the area. A focal point in a beautiful town. We will have to explore more during our next visit.
