This really is worth a visit. The guides and tour in general cannot be faulted. In fact, as far as archeological tours go, I have never experienced better. Uhm, just go.

A great tour very informative, tour guide really gets you involved. I didn't even know what it was when I took the tour but found it fascinating. The interactive guide when you go under is a great idea loved the whole thing.

This tour starts with the Romans and goes through the middle ages. It's set up so you tour the dig under the church, get audio information on specific artifacts and their setting/context. There is even a hurricane which blows down the nave of the church...More

I went with a couple of kids in the age 6-12. They liked the part in de ruins, but the theoretical part in the beginning was a bit too difficult for some of them.

I highly recommend the DomUnder tour to anyone looking to get a glimpse of Utrecht's extensive history. The tour allows you to literally see the rise and fall of the Dom Square, through the flashlight guided archeological tour.

The tour gave detailed information about the history of Utrecht city. I've lived here for 30 years now, but I still learned some new stuff.

How tough is it to get a ticket on a Saturday? Is it better to book in advance? I'd like the flexibility of buying a ticket when I get there, but I don't want to miss the opportunity.
