We took the 1,5 hr. long tour and it was very good. Recorded guide in several languages, according to the languages of the passengers. The captain was very nice and helped identifying tour features.
We booked looking for a day with good weather, which is highly recommended to allow opening windows and the roof, so to have a much clearer view.
Things to enhance: some windows have polycarbonate or acrylic glazing instead of glass, so visibility is not very good because of scratches.

Nice way to see some historical and scenic places of Utrecht, with recorded explanations of a guide in Dutch and German. The captain was an authentic 'native' of the city, who could tell some additional anecdotes. Interesting for Dutch tourists. Unfortunately, he could not speak German, so this must have been less interesting for the two German speaking guests on board...

Enthousiastic captain with Utrechter humor, he told us nice background stories along the trip.
Beautiful Utrecht canals and surroundings, like medieval buildings.

Also a compliment for Schuttevaer administration , at first we had to cancel the boat trip because of the corona situation and the money was promptly returned to our bank account.
With pleasure we rebooked this trip in another month.

The cruise was really nice. However, we were not able to understand anything from the audio commentary, because people were really loud. It would have been nice of the captain to make an
announcement through the speakers for
people to keep it down a little wirh their voices. Now we have seen the sights, but have no idea what they were or the story behind them :(

First of all, the trip has a duration of 50 minutes, and not one hour. So, please be precise on the time table. Second, 15 euro are an exaggeration for 50 boring minutes where there is just a recording giving some information.

The whole trip was nice. The guide did not overwelme you just enough to listen at so you could look aroud relaxed. I saw parts of Utrecht never been before with beautiful buildings. The special atmosphere of Utrecht on the water with students in boats singing at the other sight of the river. etc. The very old cellars along the water beneath used as restaurants so nice. Looks causy.
I advice you not to overlook where Boro restaurant is, the 2nd part of the arrangement, because it is directly in frond of where the boat stops. We could not find it directly.

My sister and I decided we wanted to spend some of our time in Utrecht on a canal tour (beacuse you can't go to Holland without doing at least one, right?). We bought our tickets online, but found the check-in/arrival process unorgainzed and confusing. The attendants were very kind but lacked in giving any directions or instructions. We took the first trip of the day and our boat was only about half full, which was really nice. Unfortunately due to the cold air, the windows were quite fogged up the entire time. Obviously this is not the company's fault - moreso just a suggestion to go during the warmer months of the year. The "informational" aspect of the tour was on a pre-recorded tape... sometimes the info did not match up with what we were seeing outside. The scenery was very nice and a decent time (~55 minutes). If you are looking for a more educational/scenic tour I would suggest somewhere else, but this was a good inexpensive option to cross "canal tour" off your Holland bucket list.

As probably the only non-Dutch on board, it was difficult to cope with all the exclusively dutch language anecdotes. We are able to accept this and were delighted with the trip in every other respect but the captain might try and recognise the issue. One passenger did and tried to keep us informed but it was impracticable. The singing of some anthem in Dutch was especially thoughtless.

Well, what can I say! Poor instructions led to me missing my boat and being shouted at by rude staff. I ended up joining the wrong group, with the tour guide having the NERVE to make an inappropriate joke about me helping her out (!) - i.e., do her job for her! She didn't even give me the right instructions about how to get to the right boat. Extremely disappointing and something that spoiled my overall experience of Utrecht.

The boat’s windows were not clear and didn’t open far enough. Three languages are offered through a narrated tour, but the narration is few and far between. It pointed out buildings and dates without much context. The captain was friendly with the Dutch speaking guests, but because she did not speak English, the extra tour announcements she made were not translated.
We wish we had found a small personal English tour like we did in Amsterdam. Nice canal and interesting to see some of the architecture and parks, but would have rather just walked along the side. A disappointment and not a great use of time.
