Station Zwolle is a really nice station. Easy to find the platforms and with many places where to eat. I had breakfast at Julia's and I highly recommend that for nice coffees and croissants

This renewed station is modern and fresh. Shops are good, signs are clear and the station is really clean. There is a piano for everyone to play.

It's a nice station. There isn't any large information boards once you check through the ticketing machines to tell you which platform you need to be on. There are signs before you go through, so you'd want to check what platform you want to be on before you check into the system (it might cause you to miss your train if you've got minutes to spare). Otherwise it's a great station

Took an easy train ride from Amsterdam to Zwolle to visit the Ice sculpture exhibit.
This was a great experience put on by some very talented artists. Well worth the trip.
Just bring warm cloths as it is cold in the building. They require pre-purchasing tickets for a time on line to reduce crowding. This I believe is a smart way to gain entrance. When we went there was no line and you could move through the exhibit at your own pace. Very well run event.

Zwolle station is a large interchange with buses as well as local services for the area. Many of these services are run by different companies than NS so if you are transferring to one of these services you must "tap out" with one railway company and "tap in" with the next company or you may be caught out and have to pay a fine.
The station has a few platforms to different parts of the country including Leeuwarden, Groningen, Amsterdam, Utrecht, Nijmegen and more.
There are places to get snacks for your journey as well.

The station itself is beautiful and there are quite a few shops. But the fact that almost all escalators are broken and the elevator is still in malfunction is worrying. It is not the first time I have seen employees and bystanders help someone up the stairs. The parking lot is close but also only accessible by stairs at the moment.
But fortunately there is money for a huge half-finished walkway.

The train station is organised in a way that even with the utmost creative mind to make sense of things, one cannot find any logic. I had to change trains at Zwolle From platform 9 to 14. On my left was platform 10 I went down and expected to have to go left since 10 was there as well. This however turned out to be different as platform 14 is actually the second track. The logic for platform goes: 15, 14, 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 9 and 10
There is no no 2 nor a 8 and 4 is on a whole different place within the station. Please fix this as it is highly confusing and I checked in and out, resulting in costs, due to thinking 14 would be after 10, as it would be in a non Harry potter world

I don't think station Zwolle deserves to be listed as an attraction, it is definiely not no4 of things to 'do' in Zwolle.
Zwolle is the station in the Netherlands that has most seperate directions for connecting trains. That means that it is by far the station with the longest walks between trains. Especially when in a hurry, it is easy to miss connecting trains. For that reason as well, I consider this station 'poor', although this is probably not something they can improve given the historic situation of the railways.

When I travel on business in the Netherlands I always travel by train, I find it really convenient, comfortable and reliable (all my Dutch customers don't agree:-)), using google maps I easily find the right connections.
