When making the walking route, I always look at the museums that we might want to visit. This is because I have difficulty walking and walk with a walker. Too bad that here too there is a lot of information about the museum and opening times, but nothing at all about the price (museum card) and accessibility for the disabled. We kept it at the front door of the museum.

We've been meaning to go to this museum for a while. I like songs of Herman and also his very interesting art.
The entry of 5 euros is extremely reasonable and there are 3 rooms filled with art work, personal effects from Herman and there is also a video.
The gift shop is also reasonable. We picked up 2 copies of artwork that we liked and it is printed on linen paper making it quite luxurious. We were also given a lovely cotton bag to take them away from at no extra charge!
Lovely museum that is very affordable.

I’m writing this review for the benefit of our fellow American tourists looking for a unique cultural experience. Herman Brood is a Dutch icon who’s career began in Music and then transformed into Fine Art painting. Tragically, he battled drug and alcohol addiction his whole life. Later he took his own life when the burden became too great for him.
Everyone responds to art at a personal level so its difficult to say that you will see the work of a genius. You may respond differently. However, what we saw was amazing. We could sense passion, love and powerful energy in the work on display.
Be sure to take the time to speak with the curator and learn the behind the scenes story of this 20th century Dutch master.

Did a Clinic together with granddaughter at the Herman Brood Museum in the studio there. Led by Jeroen v Doornik, several people had a great afternoon with a snack and a drink.

October 21, 2023 with granddaughter a trip to Herman Brood Museum, now I had met Herman Brood in the past in Amsterdam when the nights were long. Now I am a grandfather and also do something with paint as all my grandchildren like to paint.
A Clinic by Jeroen van Doornik painted as Herman Brood was a great day.
I have wonderful memories of Herman, a man with a good heart. was not taken seriously at all in terms of art, and now look. Herman was a good guy.
A cozy atmosphere with a snack and a drink, Emily Schaapman Manager already takes good care of you there.

Small private museum but full of all kinds of works. The documentary shown about Herman is highly recommended. You can walk through it in less than an hour for 7.50 euros.

Nice little place to remember Herman Brood and his superb live performances, it was always a good experience. The museum is lovingly run and a must for fans of Herman Brood's music and art when staying in Zwolle. Feel like doing it......
