This historic Catholic church was built in the 14th and 15th Century. Part of the attraction is the landmark tower, the "Peperbus". The church was decommissioned during the Reformation (if decommissioned is the right expression), and reinstated as Catholic church in the 19th century. Since about 20 years the church was elevated to Basilica by the Pope. I added some pictures of the inside of the church, in particular pictures of stained glass windows, which I like to admire. Visit this Basilica with the "Peperbus" when making the round of charming Zwolle.

Very nice and handsome building with tall tower. The tower has a very massive and strong look, towering over the hole of Zwolle.

A lot of medieval attraction that can be visited in Zwolle, NL and including this Basiliek van Onze Lieve Vrouw Ten Hemelopneming. It is amazing how they preserved this and it gives you the feeling of medieval age. Also the architectural design was very interesting. You would imagine how those people spend time building this without the latest technology now a days. Just amazing!
