We used the location right next to the train station which was very convenient to ride to the windmills. The bikes were in nice shape and easy to ride. I would highly recommend checking this off your bucket list while in Amsterdam! It was the most fun I had on the trip, and also made for great photos with the bikes and windmills!

This place had children's size bikes to hire which is a big plus as not all places stock smaller bikes. The bike hire near the station did not have any smaller child (10 year old) size bikes. We hired bikes for 2 hours which was more than enough to ride past and to the town nearby. As much as the sites are amazing, the smell of the cacao factories across the river is divine if you love chocolate. One thing to note is that we visited during the peak summer season and it is a zoo!. There are people meandering on the bike path not watching where they are going. So go slow, breathe in and enjoy the sites!

The place is beautiful and it’s worth visiting it in a sunny day. Good for coming around 11 am walking a while or better biking, sightseeing and having late lunch with beer. Bikes were great and working properly. Highly recommended. Attention also great. Enjoy it! Diego

This is a don't miss experience! My daughter and I really wanted to ride bikes in the Netherlands but didn't have the courage or the skill to do it in Amsterdam. We visited Zaanse Schanese on our own instead of with a tour group and it was very easy to get there and back without the time constraints and cost of the tour. (Central station to the upstairs 891 bus, just buy a 24 hour regional ride pass, regional is red, the bus drops you off right out front, you can buy a ticket on bus) The review left by the person who expected the owners to unexpectedly drag bikes to the train station is very unfair review of this business. This is an experience you definitely should do. It was not expensive, the bikes were comfortable and the owners great! Our navigational skills were tested but if you read the steps instead of just trying to follow the turns while riding you should be fine. If I had it to do again I would and I would do the 2 hour ride instead of the 1 hour as the time went by very fast. Lovely people here the whole day was my very favorite of the whole trip. Thank you again to the owners.

I developed a nasty case of shin splints on my vacation so renting bikes allowed me to continue enjoying Holland. This was the best 5 euros we spent. The bike allowed us to see other parts of Zaanse Schans that we would not have walked to...not only was it good for my leg but it let me see so much more. Zaanse Schans is a multi-sensory town. One of the vendors sells organic hot cocoa and thge smell carries thru for miles. So, you get the double experience of flying around on a bike and smelling chocolate in the air.
