It’s a nice cute little cheese shop, but it’s so dolled up to hide the fact it’s just a commercial cheese store selling over priced stuff to tourists. We found similar cheeses in Amsterdam for less. But…it is a cute shop in the mode of Disney… if you like that kind of thing.

We were so pleasantly surprised by this place. The animals on the property are really fun to see. We wandered in to the "cheese making experience" which was short but educational. We were surprised that it was really free as several of the other "museums" in the town charge to enter.

You leave through a large cheese shop which has an amazing variety of cheeses that you can sample. We ended up buying quite a few and would have done more if we didn't have to carry our treasures for the rest of the day.

In this big shop they sell cheese. A lot of types of cheese: with pepper, paprika, pesto (so weird to me that I'm from Genova), truffle, coconut and so on..! We had some tastings and I like most of them. For lunch we took a grilled sandwich, a toast, with cheese and ham for 3€. Very good and warm , suitable with this windy weather among the mills. Super recommended

I experienced the visit to this cheese farm as very unpleasant. I live nearby and brought a family from abroad here. You notice that the people who work here do not enjoy their work. Especially the older lady in her traditional costume behaves extremely unfriendly and grumpy. One of the guys who works there also snapped at several tourists. Seems to me as just wanting to earn money from tourists.. Not recommended...

A rich aroma of locally prepared dutch cheese welcomes you as you enter the narrow door of this factory. A variety of cheeses are on display and you can taste almost all of them. I was able to find same cheese on cheaper prices in other stores of amsterdam, shopping here is therefore not recommended.

This is a quick stroll from the famous windmills of Zaans Schaans. The entry is free. We were welcomed in staff in traditional costume. There are videos and equipments demonstrating the Dutch process of cheese making. The highlight of the place was multiple flavours of cheese kept in racks. There is also a stall where you can taste different flavours of cheese. We had the pleasure of tasting Herb and Garlic Cheese, Gouda (young cow) Cheese, Chilli Cheese.

If you are a cheese lover, you cannot pass this buy. As such Zaanse Schans is a stunning town in Netherlands, this cheesy shop with more than 15-18 types of cheese to choose from, can surely be a mouth-watering experience. We bought more than we thought we would , and don't regret. The goat and sheep cheese are yum!

Not only is there an opportunity to sample dozens of different cheeses on offer but there is also a mini museum where you can learn how cheese is made. The prices are quite reasonable and the cheese is absolutely delicious!

I felt like I died and went to cheese heaven. Haha. Wish I could buy every single kind of cheese in here. Bought quite a bit - best decision ever. I prefer buying local food to take back home for myself and for gifting instead of souvenirs so I really enjoyed the experience.
The distinctive cutlery items in the store were also very pretty.
Be prepared to taste an exhaustive variety of cheeses. I guarantee you’ll be leaving with quite a few purchases too.

If you are in the Historic Park, you should swing by the shop. I would visit right when they open at 10 am if not you will be pushed aside by all the tour bus crowd and not enjoy the experience especially with the number of tourist taking selfies of them eating cheese if their bare hands not picking up on the fact tooth picks are there for a reason.
