Nice small cozy museum, a bit of history, paintings, and smithing, includes the chocolate and biscuit museum as well. The first is boring for children, the chocolate and biscuit will keep the little ones entertained with some interactive displays or painting their own chocolate bar wrapping.

Wonderful displayed selection of items, paintings, etc. History comes to life and information about technical, industrial, social and cultural things to know is made clear.

The museum is well worth visiting. It has a rich assortment of items depicting life in the Zaandam area and how it was a key industrial area in the Netherlands. The adjacent Chocolate factory is also a nice exhibit.

The Zaans Museum is a small interesting museum outlining the importance of the area in Dutch industrial history. The exhibits are very informative as is the audio tour which is available in many languages. The Verkade portion of the museum is a reconstruction of the famous cookie and chocolate factories in Zaandam. It's an interesting view into the past. The... More

There are two parts to the museum. The first is an exhibition of Verkade chocolate. It's nice to see the process and history of this historic Dutch chocolate manufacturer. The second part is of old portraits of Dutch families and business man. I believe one has nothing to do with the other but both are interesting.

This museum is located in Zaans..., It has history of dutch's agriculter period. On the second floor, you can see the telescope which available to use. However, that is a small size museum.

A very enjoyable experience. Lots to see and even interactive exhibits. Lots of advertising and packaging go a gentler age. Great stained glass artwork with an industrial slant. The information on the 'landed gentry' and how they lived was very interesting and fascinating. A lot to see

Very touristy, busy, but hardly surprising as it sums up everything you would have imagined about Holland as a child. There is plenty of space so the crowds do not matter in fact it adds to the atmosphere. Many little attractions on site which are free with I Amsterdam cards. And Windmills, proper working windmills, huge, impressive things. We loved... More
