When visiting the Netherlands this is the place you should certainly visit. Take some time, walk around the Zaanse Schans, enjoy the mills, the shops, the restaurants and most of all the wonderful scenery.

We spent almost an entire day exploring this windmill village. Entry to most windmills is free with an Iamsterdam city card and allows you to walk around the inside of the windmills. There are a number of little stores that make chocolate, cheese and a...More

This is one of those places that just looks much better in person. Definitely worth a visit from Amsterdam, just to get away from the international city. The day tours are well-worth it. Some windmills can be seen inside for a small fee of 4...More

We only had over an hour here but it was a great place to visit. Delicious ice cream, fun show, nice walk with photo opportunities everywhere. One of the best spots to spend time in Europe.
