We went round the fort today and the the tour guide Marcel did the whole thing in English for us. He was fluent, informative and very entertaining. His enthusiasm was infectious and made our visit quite special.

The museum is more a display of war related items. There is no story line or chronological line to follow, which makes it a bit messy. But the kids loved the guns, planes etc. The explanations are only in Dutch, which was fine for us,...More

It was interesting exploring the fort and the aquarium. However, it isn't a place that is value for your money. Something to do in Den Helder if you have a free day but wouldn't recommend heading there specifically for an outing.
