Amsterdam is best explored by water, and this affordable boat cruise gives you unobstructed views of canal-side attractions like the Anne Frank House and Hermitage Museum. The boat’s small size and comfortable seating mean you won't be jostled by crowds, and you can enjoy unlimited Heineken beer, wine, and soft drinks while gliding through Amsterdam’s UNESCO-listed waterways.

We 've bought a 120hour city card. It was the best value for money choice since we stayed 5 days. We were totally covered for all public transportation and the majority of the museums we wanted to visit. 1rst hint: Even though it is not mentioned there is a GVB bus (included in the card) from Schiphol airport to the city. Its Nr 69. Then you can easily change with tram Nr 2 to the city center. 2nd hint: In order to get a chance in the time slot for the "Van Gogh" museum, do it as soon as you arrive and select early visit (like 09:00 or 09:30). ENJOY!! Amsterdam is an amazing city!

It seems more places are now placing these large, photograph-able signs in their cities and areas for social media purposes. Cool place to grab a few shots, both daytime and night time make for different perspectives and lighting. Come early in the morning or later in the evening if you expect to get a shot with no people in it. After 8am there are hordes of children using the sign for a jungle gym.

Our weekend holiday in Amsterdam went so fast. There were so many things to see and to experience in Amsterdam. And we were so disappointed when we found out that the sign “I Amsterdam” has been removed, until the day of our departure. We had our brunch in the restaurant inside Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, while we waited for our food, my eyes got caught with those big letters in white and red then suddenly realized that it was the “I Amsterdam” sign. We were very thrilled and felt lucky. Fortunately we got a picture with the famous Amsterdam sign before we departed Amsterdam. Thank you Amsterdam for the great holiday. We enjoyed it and we’ll definitely come back.

I feel disappointed that this sign is no longer there. Many cities across the world have started using such signs and the pioneers have removed it.
