Hans picked three of us up at the airport and gave an abbreviated tour of Amsterdam on the way to our hotel. We also booked a tour for six people to tour Delph, the Hague, and Gouda. Hans is extremely knowledgable of the area which added so much to the tour, and if I get to return to Amsterdam, I will definitely book my tours with Hans.

We went on two private tours to Giethorn & Keukenhof. Hanz was a very friendly and knowledgable tour guide, who took us to authentic little villages far from the tourist crowds. He also took us to some wonderful flower farms that we would never have discovered if we were on our own. He even gave us two bouquets of tulips, and treated us to some local fish delicasies! Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the Netherlands.

The high quality of our Dutch fresh tulips was proven by photographs I saw. The two bouquets were taken by my guests on a flight to Morocco and bloomed in their Sahara desert camp.

We arrived in Amsterdam a few days prior to a Tulips river cruise, and wanted to see more of the Netherlands than just Amsterdam or the stops on the river cruise. Our two couples fit more than adequately into Hans's vehicle. He picked us up at the Renaissance Hotel in Amsterdam on two successive mornings, and drove us around the countryside. On the first day, we drove through mostly small villages, and took a small ferry to a small town. On the second day, we went to the Hague -- the government city, stopped at the International Court of Justice, Scheveningen, Delft Royal Pottery, Rotterdam, the Markthal (market hall) in Rotterdam, and drove by lots of nurseries. We even went to a working cow farm, that although was kinda earthy, it was really amazing to see for a NYC guy. Lots of adorable calfs born over the winter! We structured the trip with Hans, allowing for shopping time in the town stores and markets as well as the Delft museum and pottery store. (We arranged for our purchases to be shipped home, at a nominal cost.) I liked the tour because Hans allowed time for sightseeing, shopping and relaxing time, all the while commenting on what we were seeing, giving us much more of an appreciation of what the country is like. This tour would be especially good for someone only visiting Amsterdam, as it would get you out of the city, to see the countryside, and speak with non-city folks. He charged 240 Euros for the 4 of us, for four hours each day, but the first day, it was over five, and the second was more than six. Both days were so interesting we never realized how quickly the time went, until we got back to the hotel. I tried to give hime more money, but he said, a deal was a deal. (We did give him a tip, of course!) I highly recommend Hans, a very likable, easygoing person.

From Amsterdam and Keukenhof spring gardens to the Hague and Delft is less than one hour’s drive. The Hague, or Den Haag in Duch, is our third largest city. During our Holland private tour we saw all the highlights, like the Royal Palace Noordeinde, the Hall of Knights and the Houses of Parliament, the International Court of Justice and Mauritshuis. In Delft there is much to see of historical interest. And a visit to the authentic Delft Blue pottery studios is a must see. Porcelain and tiles hand painted in blue and white at the highest quality level.

Hans was an excellent host taking us to out of the way villages so we could see real Dutch living without huge tour bus crowds. We had some locations all to ourselves. I captured so many delightful photos on our excursion with him. He followed up every step of the way from booking to completion. Shared the history of the areas we visited and also general inquires about his country. We thoroughly enjoyed his company. Do yourself a favor and skip the crowded tour bus routine. This is the ONLY way to go for touring. Thanks so much Hans!

Yes I agree very much! Every season I see the difference between my Keukenhof Private Tour and the tourists brought in by big busses. Eighty people are packed in a double decker bus, have to listen to a guide who repeats extracts from an encyclopedia and for one hour they follow the tour guide's umbrella through the splendid Keukenhof Flower Gardens. In my belief the best way to see Holland is a mixture of a private tour and exploring on your own. The freedom to decide where to go moment by moment, instead of being herded around. My Keukenhof Tours are from the 23rd of March untill 21st of May 2017. We will drive as well the small roads along the tulip fields and make as many photostops as you want.

Spent a very enjoyable, interesting and informative day with Hans exploring the countryside around Amsterdam. He tailored the trip perfectly for our needs, and was full of fascinating insights and conversation throughout. I can't recommend him highly enough.

We started our Holland tour from a houseboat in Amsterdam. This is an original way to enjoy Amsterdam and you’ll get a different view of our city. But make sure that you do not book an illegal hotel.

Hans was amazing. He’s obviously been in the business a long time and knew exactly where to go and what to see. We had our 4 kids and wanted to see flower fields, Keukenhof, countryside and a castle. He worked his magic and walked us around Keukenhof (which is a total maze and he was a huge help!!!) and same for the castle. The ticket people at both places seemed to know him so he’s obviously well liked in the industry...and having him along cut down on so much time. I didn’t have to read maps, find bathrooms....and he was there to explain stuff. Your time is valuable and hiring him is well worth it bc he saves you time and is so so knowledgeable and kind! I would hire him again in a heartbeat!

Most of the travel plans are considered as 'boring' or 'there will be nothing to do' or they will 'rather stay in the hotel'. But Keukenhof gardens, the countyside of Holland and the fairytale castle of 'de Haar' are highlights that kids and teens love. Lots of activities will keep them entertained. And there is Wi-Fi in my van so they can share their 'Instagolden' pictures immediately on Instagram.

We just returned from a lovely trip to Amsterdam. We spent a half day with Hans and found that day to be a great highlight of the vacation.
We travelled the following route:
Amsterdam - Durgerdam - Ransdorp - Zunderdorp - Broek in Waterland (the walk)
Monnickendam - Marken - the ferry to Volendam - Edam - Amsterdam.

Hans was personable, patient, attentive and flexible. We were a party of 5 people aged 45-60 with varied interests and he was able to please us all. Hans speaks very good English, so there was never a communication problem. Communication was very easy. I would recommend setting up this trip in advance, Hans can help you with recommendations in other parts of the city and country as well. Hans offered to pick me and my group from the airport. After a long trip this was very nice. He gave us a tour of the city on the way to our accommodation. This really let us take in some of the sites and get oriented, as well as plan our trip with him a few days later.

If you are new to Netherlands, I would highly recommend taking one of Han's tours. It is really worth the it, and the prices is very reasonable for the personal touch!

Adam's photographs show how beautiful the Dutch countryside is in the off-season. The fishermen's villages of Marken and Volendam are also the best places to visit in the midst of winter. Holland's tourist season begins when Keukenhof flower gardens opens it's doors. Keukenhof 2018 will be from 22nd of March 2018 until the 13th of May 2018.

We spent a very enjoyable afternoon on Sept. 8th 2017 with Hans Langh touring the city and countryside in Amsterdam. We had booked an extra day in Amsterdam prior to the departure for the Avalon Waterways Rhine & Rhone Discovery river cruise. He took us through narrow city streets to see the key sights but we particularly enjoyed the tour through the countryside where we went through the towns of Durgerdam, Ransdorp, Zunderdorp, Broek and Monnickendam. Hans was extremely knowledgeable and friendly and we can’t say enough good things about this tour. It was a memorable experience, a great value and one not to miss.

My Holland Private Tours are an ideal way to escape the large group tours and explore the Dutch countryside in a more intimate way. We will visit small, picturesque villages where the big busses are not even allowed to drive. We are flexible and you'll see the sights you want to see and at your pace. In small groups or just with your friends and family we will travel to these ‘off-the-beaten-track’ locations. Pick up from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, your hotel or directly from the Amsterdam cruise terminal.

2 couples traveling mid 50’s. We wanted to see the countryside of Amsterdam and Keukenhof Gardens. Hans really delivered! He picked us up at the cruise terminal and took us right to Keukenhof – to beat the crowds. It was beautiful and not crowded when arrived. Hans was interesting, engaged us with his knowledge of the area and history of the Netherlands. He also used back roads that by-passed heavy traffic allowing us to make the most of our time while seeing beautiful villages and countryside. The town of Edam was a delight!

We would highly recommend Hans for a private tour. He made sure we saw everything we has asked to see without ever feeling rushed. Thanks for a great, memorable day!

During my private guided tours I will take you on quiet country roads and villages like Edam, where big busses are not allowed. Visiting Keukenhof we can take the lovely little roads through the flowerfields. Compared to travelling in larger tour groups we see many hidden viewpoints and can stop frequently for photos. In 2017 you are all invited to Keukenhof from the 23rd of March untill 21st of May 2017. The central theme next year will be ‘Dutch Design’.

Hans picked us up at our Hotel right on time for a tour of Keukenhof Gardens and the Dutch countryside. Hans was engaging, interesting and was a wonderful and knowledgeable companion. His knowledge of flowers, Dutch history and his ability to relate to our interests made our tour with him a highlight of our trip to Amsterdam. We had a great time.

I try to design my private tour to make the most of our hours together. Your interests may be Amsterdam’s history, Keukenhof flower gardens, Rijks Museum, Vincent van Gogh, Anne Frank or local life. My tours are flexible and therefore I still discover something new each time I give a tour. This tour I did get a closer look at the ’Shadow Wall’, a momument remembering 200 jewish residents of Nieuwe Keizersgracht.
