What an awesome, fun, educational tour of one of the neatest cities in the world. Rachel has such tremendous, positive energy and her passion for Amsterdam is evident. Her tour was thoughtfully crafted, perfectly paced and we had a blast getting our buzz on in the middle of the afternoon. We'd highly recommend this to anyone who is a beer enthusiast or if you just enjoy sipping on some suds walking this beautiful charming city. Great stories were told and we enjoyed connecting with new friends in our small group.

The Brews & Tales Craft Beer Tour is one of the best tour experiences I’ve ever been on, and the highlight of my time in Amsterdam. Our guide Rachel led our small group to interesting locations while she shared her deep knowledge and clear love of the history, culture and beer (of course!) that makes Amsterdam special. Even if you join the tour as a single (like I did), you can rest assured that it’ll wind up feeling like you’re exploring the city with a small group of friends. Rachel clearly loves sharing this gem of a city and facilitating an experience that’ll please the young and old, the introvert and extrovert, the beer connoisseur and history lover alike. Definitely something I’ll heartily recommend to others and won’t hesitate to do again when next in Amsterdam.

This was a fantastic introduction to the diversity of Amsterdam's beer scene, from centuries-old pubs to the newest breweries. Rachael is a brilliant host and took us to a range of venues, including some where we also spent some time looking behind the scenes or learning from the owner. Rachael arranged all the beers (and plenty of snacks) taking everyone's own preferences into account, and they were all great.

This was the best and most memorable part of our trip to Amsterdam, and much more than just a beer tour! Rachael is an amazing host, had recommendations for everything we wanted, and brought us to places that we'd never would have found on our own. Highly recommend this tour: you'll explore and learn about the city with an amazing guide, make a new friend, and have beer all along the way.
P.S. Our group also did a canal tour and a food tour -- Rachael and the Brews & Tales tour surpassed all of them.

Rachel is amazing! Love her energy and personality. This is not your typical pub/beer tour. Small group tour with quality people that can afford this price range. You get what you pay for. Great variety of beer and yummy Dutch snacks. Made friends from around the world on this tour. Highly recommended!! Awesome tour.

An absolute must in Amsterdam! The beer tour was without a doubt one of the high points of my trip to Amsterdam. Not only the beer selection was amazing but it is really a complete experience. Quite quickly the tour started to feel just like drinking with friends. The group was amazing and Rachel really has this great energy that makes everything light and also lots of knowledge to share!

Rachel is so fun- she made everyone feel welcome and took us to places we would have never have found on our own. Crazy fun and the highlight of our Amsterdam trip. She even offered a special “ hard to get” beer for purchase that my husband loved! She was so knowledgeable and we learned a lot abt the city and beer and meet a lot of interesting and nice people.

This tour was magnifico! Rachael had an expertly curated selection of craft beers at each bar we visited. She seemed knowledgeable and passionate and that made the experience truly exceptional. I appreciated the diverse range of breweries and pubs we visited, each offering a unique and array of options. It was not just a tour; it was also journey through Amsterdam via art, food and the history of brewing. If you're a beer enthusiast or simply looking for an extraordinary outing, I recommend this tour to solo or group travelers. Proost!

My best friend and I traveled to Europe for our 50th birthday celebration and were lucky enough to spend the day with Rachel who owns "Brews & Tales". She was high energy and provided a great tour, introducing us to pubs & local experiences that were incredibly unique. This was such an awesome experience! I am not a natural beer drinker and Rachel made such an effort to introduce me to ‘beginner’ beers and adapt to my preferences at each bar we tried. I would definitely recommend this tour for anyone who is interested in experiencing the beer world whether you’re a newbie like me or an experienced beer drinker.

Hiya, I'm going to Amsterdam next January as a surprise trip for my fiance's 30th. He loves his beers (in particular sour beers) so was wondering if these are included in the line up/menus at any of the places you visit? :)

Hello Bethany, thanks for reaching out! :) And hurray to your surprise trip in January! We love our sours, too! For our regular experience, our goal is to showcase a variety of beer styles that our city and country shines in. So we do have a sour, but it's not a main course. However, we would be very happy to point you in the right direction to enjoy the best sours we have here. :) Also with the current situation,we have put our shared group experiences on hold for now. We do run private experiences and with that, there's more flexibility to tailor it to a tee and give you and your man the stuff you want! We are also going to launch a DIY beer tour e-guide soon (August is the goal!) as well ,so stay tuned. If you have any questions or if you would like a private experience for two, shoot us an email! Depends on what pubs are on the route that particular day. We met at the De Prael beer store near Armbrug. You will get the meeting point per mail a couple days in advance.

A good amount of walking is required but the actual taprooms are not far from each other. At most there is a 10-15 min walk between each. Just be aware that most of Amsterdam in general is walking or biking.

Hi there! Thank you for your question! Here's the thing - we have merged with the awesome Hungry Birds Street Food Tour Amsterdam and now we are called Thirsty Birds! Unfortunately, we do not have a thirsty birds experience on those dates (only 29th October, Saturday at 4pm). However, we do have availability for our food tours on both dates so far.
