My husband and i rented electric bikes from this place and it was a pleasant and professional experience from start to finish. Service was great, bikes held up for 75+ km, and we also appreciated the tips we received before starting out. We rented 4 bikes for 4 days at the IJdok location. Very friendly staff with well maintained bikes. Also provided a discount for several day rental (I didn't even have to ask!). Many thanks!!

We rented 4 bikes for a day from the IJdok location. The rear hand brakes on the two children's bikes did not work, which I found dangerous. When we reported the issue upon returning the bikes, we were told that this was done on purpose to avoid accidents. I still don't get the reasoning (if you brake hard with the front hand brake, because the rear hand brake doesn't work, that's what may cause the bike to flip over). The staff was very patronizing ("in Holland, that's how things work." "Most people renting bikes don't know how to bike..."). I have been biking with my daughters for years and tend to think we know how to bike. I would strongly advise against renting a bike from this place.…

We rented three e-bikes here. (not cheap) I had made reservations from the US prior, worried about the summer tourist rush. Although I appreciated the "reservation" I made ahead of time, when we got there there was no reservation and it was handled rather casually. It took him a while to locate our reservation and he had not planned ahead for the bikes we wanted. The bikes were in bad shape, mine had dented frames, clearly it had been in an accident. I ended up having to call the shop that I had a flat tire and asked for help. They just told me to walk back (35minute bike ride!) That totally changed the families plans that day on were we were going. I found another bike shop, could temporarily make it back to the shop and but it cut our two day rental short. No refund, no I am sorry, nothing! Horrible service! Would not rent from them again. …
