We started with a short training session to know how to handle the segways. After some slaloms and turnes we started our tour in AMS. During the 60min we have seen some nice places and drove agross the City. We had a lot of fun and I would book this tour again.

It was a wonderful experience to drive Segway for the first time.
Everything was explained very well and slowly.
The ride through the city was very interesting and fun.
The attendants were very attentive.
Highly recommended.
Thank you very much

Nice tour if you like SEGWAYS. You get to ride in teh old part of town and spot nice places. Otherwise, you do not get any explanations.

Short story: They have no clue about tourism and customer service. Their business name on Google is "Segway Tours and Bike Rentals" but they operate under "Amsterdam Electric Tours" to hide their negative reviews on Trip Advisor.

Complete story: My wife and I travel on a regular basis and we Segway in almost every city we visit. This is THE ONLY bad experience we've had with a Segway company and the worst experience in many years during our travels!

We booked the tour through Viator website for 11:30 tour. When the voucher came in the email, it had the time as 11:30 and 16:30.
It also showed we have to be there 30 mins earlier.

We called the place 4 times in advance to check the time of our tour and let them know we can't be there earlier than 11:20.

However we are pro Segway users and don't need training.

The calls almost instantly went to a voicemail that said "leave a voicemail". So we left them at least 3 voicemails in 2 days that we have a problem with the time, left our phone number and requested them to call us back.

Nobody responded!

So on the day we arrived 15 minutes early (at 11:15) and ended up seeing the biggest jerk in the tourism industry. At least that was a unique experience.

There were absolutely no clients there for a tour that was supposed to start at 11:30.

He told us we are late and we've missed the tour. I said the tour starts in 15 minutes and nobody is here! How can we have missed the tour??? There is nobody here, just get a person to give us the tour!

Then he started rambling and nagging and going on a long vicious circle of you are late, we can't wait for you the whole day and on and on.
Again I told him, dude nobody is here. We are the only ones here and the tour is supposed to start in 10 minutes.

How can we have missed something that hasn't started?\

Again he continued saying we are late and we've missed the tour and we have to go back for the later time.

Then he turned to his colleague and said if these are clients that Viator sends me I don't need them.

At this point I had enough of him so I told him why are you acting like a jerk?

So he picked up his phone and started recording a video of me, thinking I won't understand, and asked me to repeat what I said.

So I told him again, I said why are you acting like a jerk, I know you are recording me but you are acting like a jerk so I call what I see. You don't have any clients, you are sitting here and can easily get on a Segway and give us the tour.

We've already called you several times, left you several messages and gave you our phone number to call us and you haven't done anything. We are already here and you are denying our tour now!

Now this is where you get what I mean of him being a jerk.

To that he responded I'm not responsible to answer the client's calls. So it doesn't matter if you called.

I said how can you be in a business that require booking and not answer your clients calls.

He said and I quote "Your phones are American so why would I spend money to call you."

I said just use "Google Voice" it's FREE.

He said I don't know what that is, it's not my job to know.

After this I realized I'm dealing with a person who knows nothing about tourism, business and customer service!

So I decided to take this to Viator.

We called Viator and they took really good care of us!

Even Viator wasn't able to reach them.

Apparently they don't see a point of picking up Viator's call either!

Later on Viator told us that this business had marked us "No Show" although our voucher was valid also for a 4:30pm tour and it was only noon at the time that we were marked no show. So this dude had marked us no show 4 hours before one of the times on the voucher which he was pointing out to and asking us to go back for that time.

We went to a place close by and went on a great tour of the city.

A group of Friends wanted to try the segway tour as we had done an amazing similar one at Paris, so we booked Amsterdam electric tours, bad choice really, the owner or the guy handling it was pretty condescending and more bothered about his segway than the clients, he kept ordering us about as if we're a bunch of school kids. Really, we all were 40 plus educated women who knew all about segways and have travelled widely. Infact I'm almost convinced that he was racist as he didn't show that attitude to the two local women who did the tour with us.

The initial tour lesson was more of a high school dressing down by a school principal to his students rather than a friendly guide to tourists.

I love segways and find it a delight to tour the city in it as you get to see the inner roads, However he took the fun out of our trip with his overbearing attitude.

The other two boys with him were reasonably polite though , but since the main guy already had given us a earfu, we really didn't enjoy it. And to think we paid 55 euros each for a wasted trip.

The one we did in Paris was such an amazing one and I would cherish that forever.

I'm sorry to be giving a thumbs down to Amsterdam electric tours, but the guy really needs to change his attitude!

Having had a fantastic experience of a Segway tour of Bruges last year, we were very much looking forward to a tour of Amsterdam this year. We had a confirmed booking for Sunday morning at 9:00am and arrived 20 minutes before, as instructed. The shop was closed. 9 o-clock came and went and the shop remained closed. By 9:10, after 2 unanswered phone calls to the office, we'd had enough and returned to our hotel disappointed. Don't bother wasting your time or money with this outfit. Hopefully we'll be more successful in getting a refund than we were in getting a tour.

This was our first Segway tour anywhere, and it was great. We started with some training to get used to the machines (which are very easy) and then went on a tour of Westerpark and the Jordaan. The guide was very patient and nice, and brought us to a nice spot for pictures, which he offered to take for us.

All in all, we had an absolute blast, would do it again in a heartbeat, and will make this a part of any place we visit from now on. Can't recommend enough!

Booked as a surprise birthday present and we thoroughly enjoyed our tour. The guide Joseph was excellent and we ended up being out for about 2.5 hours not the 1.5 hours we had paid for. It was great fun and one of the best parts of our trip even in the pouring rain 😃

*Likely to sell out: Based on Viator’s booking data and information from the provider from the past 30 days, it seems likely this experience will sell out through Viator, a Tripadvisor company.
