The location of our hotel (Arena) for our 4 night stay, this is a lovely green space, but with ponds which are visited by herons (spotted) and the like. Apart from the numerous pathways, there is a tennis court and boules pitch (free) and children's adventure playground. The park is also used for yoga and similar activities. It was a real bonus to us to find this lovely park on our doorstep.

The Oosterpark is a park in south east Amsterdam and a little off the tourist circuit in the city. I actually only came to see the Slavery monument, which is beautiful and a lovely reminding of how far society has come. While I was here, I wandered around the park as well.

Oosterpark is a medium sized public park and well maintained, full of greenery, flowers, trees, a large pond and walkways to enjoy the park. Not as crowded or touristy as Vondelpark, but lovely nevertheless.

Too many single boys smoking in groups which I think is a bit dangerous and insecure. The park itself did not catch my eye because I have seen vondelpark and its relatively way nicer than this one!

I stayed at the Tropen Hotel next to Ooosterpark. I enjoyed hanging out in the lovely park with my coffee and book in the mornings. It was fun to see kids playing in the wading pool and all the folks exercising and biking. It is a nice slice of green in the city that is already lovely. Lots of dogs too!

Spent a sunny, hungover Sunday at Oosterpark after checking out of our apartment. The park is beautifully maintained and has a small lake in the middle. It felt very safe and the kids paddling pool area was crazy busy. Really glad we found it and spent a few hours amongst the greenery. There was a lovely cafe there too!

This park was one of the highlights of my Amsterdam trip since we were staying right opposite to it. The park is well maintained and has many art instillations. There is an open gym where joggers work out freely. The pond is simply serene! A morning walk through the park uplifts the soul. I could sit here all day appreciating the natural beauty!

After reading the reviews this place seemed like a “must visit” and I was disappointed. We stopped in on our bike ride to do some reading and have a picnic. There was rubbish everywhere, it smelled like wee and there was an interesting mix of people which didn’t make me feel overly safe. I think this place needs a little TLC.

The name speaks itself. It's one of public parks in Amsterdam east. It's not a big park but it is nice park to visit. Once a year there is a ceremony in remembrance of the history of slavery, festival in the summer etc. A playground even a tennis court is in the park. Local come for walk, jogging, playing soccer, cycling or letting the dog out. It's very green in the summer and you can have BBQ in the park. A restoration is going on at the park at this moment. The location is a few meters from the Tropen Museum, just next to the NH Tropenhotel. Tram 9 (from Central Station), tram 7 (from Leidse square) and tram 3 (from museum square) will take you to the entrance of this park.
